纽约地区，使前往医院就医的感冒患者人数激增。
据CBS新闻网报道，往年，流感病毒会随着春天的到来而骤减，但今年却不同于往
日。根据纽约州最新出台的数据显示，四月第一周，纽约州流行性感冒确诊病例数量达
到了2600例，一周内上升了近23%。
同样在四月的第一周内，纽约州各大医院的新增流感病例就达到了648起，相对于
前一周增长了近29%。更有一名儿童因患流感而最终导致死亡。据了解，此次新增的流
感病例是继去年十月流感病毒爆发以来新增人数最多的一次。
专家解释，今年一月中旬爆发的大规模流感是由甲型流感病毒（influenza A）引
起的，而此次袭来的流感病毒则是乙型流感（influenza B）。

美国不care，正是国内体现价值和优势的地方。但是我曾经很认真的搜索过国内做相关
内容的组，发现做HCV的可能比做HBV的还多，做HBV的里面像贺福初那样瞎搞的也很多
，或者号称自己做疫苗然后忽悠大众的也很多（像吴玉章闻玉梅那种），认认真真做
HBV的我压根就没看到几个。这是为啥？我理解是这样：搞infectious disease的，要
么从国外回去继续自己在国外的研究不思进取的（像很多做HCV的），要么是土生土长
知道什么是噱头但是招摇撞骗的。
再比如说，国内狂犬病，乙型脑炎，一直是死亡人数最多的传染病前几名，这些病都是
发达国家少见也不care的。你看国内有几个组好好做做得好的？相反倒是一堆一堆做
influenza的，话说蒙古人种什么时候把influenza当回事了？还有最近流行的手足口病
蜱虫病 开始流行的梅毒 blabla 多少金矿可以去做并且能够帮助自己的国家的啊 连

身不是这个领域的。当时就是觉得有趣，便把frameshifting的文章找来。之后断断续
续，从综述到论文看了一堆。现在有了一个大概的认识，但是对这个领域还是有些困惑。
主要的困惑是这（具体就是ribosomal frameshifting)是不是开放的领域，以及这个课题
真正的门槛在那？按理，frameshifting在流感A型病毒（influenza A virus，IAV)里
早就不是什么秘密了。对他机理和机制的破解对治愈或防御包括HIV，H1N1在内的IAV
都有"重要"意义。然而整个方向就几个组（Utah/Cork，Montreal，Umea, etc)在＂扯
皮＂（e.g. 漂移缘由，动力学，和机制）。在北美乃至世界范围内，Utah的John F
Atkins是绝对的扛把子。这片science是剑桥完成的，而Atkins和他的学生也是合作者。

通说的流感是更宽泛的定义，是以症状来表述的疾病。能导致流感症状的有多种病毒，

As the world is transfixed by a new H7N9 bird flu virus spreading through
China, a study reminds us that a different avian influenza — H5N1 — still
poses a pandemic threat.
A team of scientists in China has created hybrid viruses by mixing genes
from H5N1 and the H1N1 strain behind the 2009 swine flu pandemic, and showed
that some of the hybrids can spread through the air between guinea pigs.
The results are published in Science1.
