版上的各位大侠，我现在是在一个非营利性的研究所工作，拿的是H1B签证。最近有一
个去公司的机会，可是我对H1B签证的
transfer不太了解。是只要我的新雇主给我offer了，就可以马上申请H1B transfer了
，然后拿到收条就可以开始工作了呢，
还是必须等到10月1号才能开始？要是后一种情况那岂不是什么都凉了。有没有有经验
的老大介绍一下啊，我在网上查了一

我本科硕士是chem-/bio-engineering背景的，博士是pharmaceutical的，
以后想找个公司的工作。现在找postdoc有2个方向：一个是engineering的方
向，主要是环境相关的，分析小分子污染物。；另一个是偏生物的，做蛋白结晶，
机理，信号传导等方面的。
请问现在哪个方向比较容易去工业界发展呢？非常非常感谢！ |

楼主生化PhD刚毕业，目前找到一家生物公司的博后位置，已经要发offer了，突然HR
告知只给办J1，经过argue之后同意用OPT。
之前一直听说industry都是给H1B的，完全没有想到居然有给J1的。原来打算在业界做
博后，就是想做个跳板，一方面累计业界的工作经验，一方面把H1B 弄到手，方便以后
找工作。结果现在一下弄的措手不及， 有几个问题想请教：
1. 是否还有neogotiate的余地？已经联系过PI，对方说以HR说的为准，她没有办法
。是否可以继续跟HR沟通，应该怎么讲？
2. 因为现在OPT可以用三年（对方 e-verified），所以理论上OPT也可以cover三年
的博后，这个给了对方退路，不能push一定给H1B。 但是是楼主不想把整个OPT耗在这
一个位置上，最少保留最后一次抽H1B的机会（2019/04/01），应该什么时候找好工作
才稳妥？另外，因为在公司博后，以后做on-site的时候，是不是很多data不能present？
