converter box大约$55, indoor antenna大约$15, 可以看到20多个频道。很多时候http://dtv.gov提供40美元的coupon买converter box。
converter box和indoor antenna都附有指示，易于安装。嗯, 文科生应该也能行。:))

就是搬到新家之后，如果一开始就outdoor肯定不行。他不认识家，跑丢了就坏了。

但是这猫有个小问题，粘人。
我比较后妈，没给猫买窝和玩具之类，她整体就是晃晃哒哒的在屋里逛，不爱叫，每天
基本上就是大人走到哪她跟到哪，我厨房做饭她就在吧台上等着；我洗衣服她就洗手台
上蹲着；我上网她就桌上边上睡觉，偶尔撒娇还非得枕一只我的手臂^_^；我们吃饭时
候她就桌子底下趴着，从不要吃要喝：）。。。。。。。
前天开始隔离（只是不让进卧室），
第一天表现挺好，第二天早上叫门，给了罐头就消停了。

而且刚才yo mm退了一步还被大道横眉冷对了一把
我只好认为大家就是想吵吵去火了
我现在觉得大家立场都差不多
唯一分歧点就是在“上来哭”这个问题上
其实哭也有不同的哭法，如果小咪因为
出去玩出事了，我是有心理准备的。
所以我不会哭哭唧唧的说我不应该放他出去什么的，
但是还是会哭，会怀念他的猫生，和我们共度的时光。
最后说一下我们小咪的个例，他妈就是outdoor cat，
他爸是谁没人知道。他从小就喜欢玩，宁可不吃也要出去。
出去玩是他经过长期坚持不懈的努力争取到的权利，
而且还是在他当时长期赌尿我怕他好日子不多了考虑是
他长期的心愿才试行的，也是担惊受怕好一阵什么
后果都想过了。
现在呢，我们又把他indoor了，只有天气
特别好和有特殊情况的时候才偶尔放出去。的确，我现在
也同意你们说的，小咪indoor outdoor都可以happy。我们
和他都对出不出门这事比原来有平常心多了。但是这也是
在indoor和outdoor都试过之后双方得到的心态，所以我还是不
后悔曾经让他outdoor。 |

我养过两只猫， 养到它们过世， 全部Outdoor。 最深的印象是家中做菜案板一响，
它们就都不知从何处跑回来了。 当年牵着猫到大街上遛， 没见过第二个人这么干过。
在新西兰时见过不少养猫的， 没听说谁养Indoor的猫。 在一人到处“流浪”时， 收
养过一只流浪猫。 我流浪到哪里， 猫跟我流浪到哪里。 车就是我的家， 也是猫的
家。 开车走到哪里， 我就在哪里打工， 猫就自由地在周围玩， 有半年多。 最后有
房的朋友收养了它， 还是Outdoor。
Outdoor和弃养是两个不同的概念。Indoor养是人类强加给猫的， 不信的话可把门打开
， 看猫自己是想Indoor， 还是Outdoor。 |

发帖数: 898 | 13 :) 我理解老宋的观点，我有时候看到outdoor的猫也觉得挺对不住我家猫的，外面好玩
的东西多多啊。不过toboshu说的对，即使是平时，outdoor也大大增加了猫染病以及传
染给人的危险，更不要说怀孕的时候了。现在我还可以理直气壮地说indoor的弓形虫风
险很小，我查过血，没问题，只要我家猫一直indoor，他们应该也就没问题。这样家人
还能让我跟猫玩。要是猫outdoor，那就彻底没商量了。我姥姥家以前的猫就是outdoor
，而且没有fix.每天晚上出门去打架，早上回来。后来染了跳蚤，咬的全家人都受不了
了，我妈和我大姨一合计，偷偷把猫拿到离家远的地方给扔了。我姥姥至今都不知道这
事。所以我妈才会对猫的态度这么负面。我希望她见到indoor的猫能多少扭转一些她的

发帖数: 16051 | 14 这些都只是association，应该是他们调查了很多猫的生活习惯和发病率，发现这些数
据有关联，但是不见得是这些习惯本身引起发病
比如"fed intermittently throughout the day"，很有可能是因为这些猫吃干粮
buffet，然后因为劣质干粮的原因引起尿堵
或者"indoor elimination"，可能因为indoor cat本身家里地方小，主人也没有给提供
足够的stimulation，或者家有多猫，沙盆不够多不够干净，等等各种原因产生的
stress引起尿堵，不见得是说单纯在室内上厕所就会发病
point is 很多因素都是互相关联的，很难说哪一项跟发病率有或没有直接关系。。。
但我觉得很多跟发病率相关的因素都是室内家猫特有的，所以主人一定要多多关心
indoor cat的饮食起居和心理健康 |

就普通猫来说，不管室外室内养的，一生中只有一次机会感染弓形虫，并通过便便排出
来。
不要接触和吃生肉，不要接触土壤，做园艺什么的。生肉和土壤里有弓形虫的机率要比
indoor猫便便大。
上床木有影响。土拨鼠（版上ID）整个孕期都是她家的猫陪着睡觉滴。
PS：弓形虫不是病毒，是虫子。你可以带猫去检查一下看是否感染过弓形虫，如果已经
感染过了，那么你就不用担心了，猫和人一样，都不会再感染第二次。如果很清白，那
么保持猫indoor就没问题。 |

我现在的选择是做我能做的挽留，然后留不住就让她去
发主帖时猫的现状是白天出去玩，晚上回来
今天看了兽医，我还是打算听兽医的话，再试试能不能严格的indoor
我不确定她能不能成为只家猫，不确定是否是猫爱自由所以无法呆在家里的结论，所以
要试了再说
谢谢所有人的关心，只是我真的没有办法简单的听从多数意见。也许放她outdoor是个
正确的结论，但是我愿意在试过所有indoor的办法行不通后再走这条路。
之前没有列的我比较prefer indoor的理由
1。我们的小区比较乱，有机车，有各种各样的小孩子，有野猫，还有很多狗，原来刚
开始认识她的时候，猫咪不止一次屁股上沾着屎跑我身边来，我总觉得是她便便的时候
受了惊吓
2。我把她给做了，兽医说这样比较容易受别的猫欺负。当然，我也没有亲见，除了今
天在医院和她的娃见面的时候被她的娃哈了
3。天天钻我床上和我一起睡，我心理上真的很难接受在外面打了滚再过来的事实 |

serious disease. Question is how often is necessary, considering benefit vs
. risks.
The other consideration is the incidence of rabies in cats/dogs in each
states compare to the chances bats get indoors or indoor cats escapes.
I know in our neighborhood there are more stray cats than indoor pet cats.
These cats are obviously not vaccinated and much more dangerous to public
health. |

留在这里基本上，这个花色的，一般活不过一年……
是不是主人这事，还不是你的决心下没下？你带她体检，打针，你就是她主人了。难道
还要弄到出生证明医院证明才算主人？
转indoor感觉没什么问题，只要她亲人。一般不亲人的，半岁前可以耐心诱导，大了就
不行了。如果已经亲人，indoor一阵子就习惯了。
我家咪宝也是小野猫来的，来妈妈都不见了，现在还不是indoor快活的很！
看医生坐飞机当然用carrier，就是我家大米，我也不敢上了leash出门啊！猫一定一定
要关起门的carrier。这个不是她和你熟不熟，她是家猫还是野猫的问题了，这个是个
性问题啊。大米出门坐车会老老实实呆我腿上，可是出了车就一惊一乍的，而且他们身
子软，leash根本不行，小背心她都一下自己就扭出来的

owners would greatly increase if more pets were properly identified:
•Be sure your pet wears an identification tag, rabies license, and
city license. Include your name, address, phone number and pet's name.
•Keep licenses current, as they help shelters locate pet owners.
•When moving, put a temporary tag on your pet. Include a phone number
of someone who will know how to reach you and/or your cell number.
