而在于levels of indirection。“Every problem can be solved with
another level of indirection”——于是indirection容易被滥用，
读代码时大脑很容易爆栈。
就js而言，client端可以在runtime用browser来debug（比如chrome你可以开
async mode看call stack），30层callback捉虫起来困难也不是太大。
server端就比较麻烦，我一直没有找到称手的工具，一直是console.log大法。 |

有很多人以为颜宁学生期间在比较高档次杂志上发了几篇文章就很有资格当教授了。本
人可以很有把握地说颜宁当年能在像样的美国大学找到"终身助理教授（tenure-
tracked assistant professor, 邓红文学生的翻译）"的可能性极小。
美国研究型大学招生物类教授的最重要的标准（对高档次大学医学院来说这几乎是唯一
的标准）就是看你有无潜力从NIH拿到RO1基金，原因是NIH除了给教授实验经费（
direct funding）以外还给学校很大比例的indirect funding用来作为行政开支。学校
运转很大程度上依赖这笔钱。对系里来说招收的每个新助理教授都是一笔不小的投资（

其实他说的没错，但是没有意识到indirect还是direct
NAV的估值对股价的影响是indirect的，好像PE，好像PB，好像一堆堆的good news，
bad news，
但是direct影响的是投资者的操作。
所以你现在讨论这个discount是15%还是10%，根本就没有意义。我承认你的15%
discount，但是实际市场对这个closed fund的估价也许就是15% discount，甚至20%呢
？也可以是市场估值10% premium，现在故意压低价格的。
如果10% premium了，那怎么办了，我们非说这个NAV 10%了吗？这个会不会发生？当然
会啦。如果一旦市场追捧，这个20%，30%都是有可能的。
我的point一开始大家都没有理解，ok，怪我扯book value，我说的是类比。
ETF是直接track的，所以这样的的情况不会发生，但是closed fund就是跟NAV没有直接
必然的联系，我看大家玩的high，出来提醒一下，我自己直接做A share，这类东东一

我有个NSF的project, 里面有一个budget是招一个人（全职staff)，假如说预算是$40,
可是我
发现不需要用那么多，如$30K 就能找到人了，那么我剩下的$10K我有权自己处理吗？
我想从本人的
indirect cost里配$20K, 再招一个人， 技术上有规定限制吗？
我正在读NSF的Award and Administration Guide， 里面提到budget change的事情，
但是
没有像我这样本来计划招一个，现在招两个的情况。不过里面有句话似乎很正面
NSF elects NOT to impose the following requirements on its grantees:
a. prior approval requirements for appropriate transfer between
direct and indirect cost categories of the grant budget; and 。。。
另外我也会咨询我们的Sponsored Office.

直接就有indirect cost贡献给系里。

俺现在每年给学校的indirect是三万多点，但是俺没有自己的lab,只有一间大概100
feet的办公室。按照俺们这里的租金也就是每年60块一尺，所以俺算下来6000块
indirect就够了。
超额的如果能拿回来10%,那也有两千多了。
