表了舒红兵研究组在细胞抗病毒天然免疫领域的最新研究成果，论文题目是“The
ubiquitin ligase RNF5 regulates antiviral responses by mediating degradation
of the adaptor protein MITA”。这是继该研究组2008年9月在Immunity发表论文后
，半年内在该刊物发表的第二篇研究论文。据悉，Immunity杂志自1994年创刊以来，共
发表了3篇由我国完成的工作，其中2篇由舒红兵研究组完成。
天然免疫是细胞和机体天然存在的非特异性或广谱的抗病原微生物的功能，是机体
抵抗病原微生物的第一道防线。抗病毒天然免疫最重要的方式之一是通过I型干扰素（

transduction, protein trafficking. 有几篇一作IF5-6分的小文章.
最近对 innate immunity (比如 inflammasomes) 特感兴趣, 但没有免疫背景. 想申请
到相关实验室做postdoc.感觉如果申请那些用biochemistry做innate immunity的实验
室 (比如James Chen),可能更有把握,因为自己无免疫背景.但也不介意到免疫实验室,
利用postdoc学些免疫的东西.
请同胞建议实验室.尤其做innate immunity, 能用上我生化, signal transduction,
protein trafficking的背景的实验室.
期望:postdoc后,能有自己的实验室.目前对industry不感兴趣.

applied. I think I don’t have immunology background is the major reason. I
applied a HHMI investigator’s lab which fits perfectly with my current
research area and immediately I was invited for the on-site visit. However,
since I am not sure staying in the exact same field for postdoc is a good
idea and I am really interested in innate immunity, I want to apply for
innate immunity lab. |

实际上，他们小孩子不得病，是因为很多小孩都打了疫苗，即便碰到病原菌也不会发病
，不会成为传染源，所以相当于变相保护了没打疫苗的小孩
这叫herd immunity
所以，他们打算把老人都躲起来，等外面人全部感染一圈完了，再把老人放出来
基本就是胡扯。正常的herd immunity是靠疫苗实现的，不是让正常人感染一圈得肺炎

几位Richard Flavell, Ruslan Mezhitov, Iwasaki (Ruslan老婆，夫妻俩都是HHMI
investigator)都是那儿的。James Chen当然也不错。Shizuo Akira，大牛，不过在日
本。曹雪涛，大牛，在中国。这几位都是第一档的。
另外可以考虑的有,但是比上面几位就降一档：
Jonathan Kagan （Harvard Medical School, Ruslan的弟子）
Kate Fitzgerald （University of Massachusetts Medical School）
Luke AJ O’Neill (Trinity College Dublin, Kate Fitzgerald的导师)
Tom Maniatis（Columbia U. 原来做先天的，挺牛，但是好像现在换方向了）
目前能想到这么多。其实我觉得现在做纯免疫，竞争太激烈了，跟癌症有一拼，做纯免
