发帖数: 652 | 10 屏蔽掉GPU,CPU性能是增强的。以前是2 core CPU + 1 GPU功耗是35W，屏蔽之后只有
CPU用，CPU可用的功耗就增加了，CPU自动睿频的时间变长，于是性能就增强了。
这也是为什么i7-620M的GPU参数都比i5-540M的好，但是性能反不如i5的原因。因为i7
2 core CPU的功耗比i5的大，加GPU都是35W的热设计功耗，此消彼长，i7的GPU性能就
上不来。 |

i5+2520m,内存是2G贵100块.
偏向于选i7 USB3.0,但不知道是不是i7+2620m比i5+2520m的温度要高,它们的功率好象
都是35W.i7好象也是双核的,与i5性能差别大吗?
另外,9cell的电池是不是突出一块呢,突出的多吗? |

当然是前者快(其实没必要，i5已经足够快了)，但最大功耗也大7W。看评测，8cell电
池(66Wh)在i7-640LM上能使用约4小时，也就是整机的平均功耗为16.5W，如果换成i5-
520UM能使平均功耗降至12W的话，机器就能用5.5小时 |

这里面不光是cache的影响，i5-660这类胶水cpu还会导致内存效率低下，对计算很不利
。而且matlab现在的并行处理包支持multicore.
胶水cpu由于内嵌gpu，一般比较适合用于HTPC. |

发帖数: 5080 | 44 去查一下die size就知道了，一样的die size，说明他们一定是这样搞的。die size在
芯片领域就是成本，厂家不会傻到用大的成本实现低的功能，特别是大量出货的时候。
以前i3比较小，但i7和i5在第一代的时候面积是一样的，后来的intel把die size隐藏
了，就不好判断了。但从不同的来源可以看出i5-2500 和 i7-2600的die size都是216
sqmm,所以几乎可以确定它们是一样的die,但i5上面hyperthread被屏蔽了。屏蔽的原因
有两种，一种是成品率，一种是市场分化。如果省的面积不大，把功能屏蔽比设计一种
新的芯片来得更便宜。

isn't LGA 2011 for xeon and ivy bridge, instead of for sandy i7?! the i3,i5,
i7 all referred to Sandy bridge...
again, i ask this out of purity curiosity, thanks for the input. |

今天有个dell xps的机器$699， 是i7-2600 + Radeon 6670的video card。
我刚才试了一下，自己去micro center买那个3代i5-3570加主板的combo deal，攒个机
器也基本是$699。
不同的是自己攒机是i5-3570 + Radeon 6870。
所以价格差不多的话，基本上是i7-2600 + 6670 vs i5-3570 + 6870。
大家觉得呢？给点意见。谢谢 |

，这概率还真蛮神奇的。。
不过X220送到了一看，也确实是相当cheap。而且居然还有i7和i5版本接口都不一样的
设计，实在太ws了。以为只要是x220都带USB3.0，结果居然只有i7的是，i5的没有USB3
