这一段时间转基因食品的话题又变得异常火爆。在各种场合，我经常被问到转基因的问
题，大家最关心的是它是不是安全。在我费劲口舌解释了为什么转基因食品并不可怕之
后，听者往往将信将疑，然后盯着我问：“你自己吃转基因食品吗？”
我当然吃，而且已不知不觉吃了十几年。美国转基因食品开始大规模地上市是在1996年
，最早推广的转基因作物正是美国人的主粮之一——玉米。现在美国市场上的玉米80％
以上都是转基因的，主要是抗虫害转基因玉米。“虫子不吃的，人能吃吗？”这种中国

教授让我出那门课的作业题，我就到国内的教材上找了个公式推导的题目，要求学生们
自己推导那一章里面一个非常重要非常经典的公式。其实推导过程也不算复杂，搁国内
算中等难度。
结果教授看了我出的题目，大嚷：这也太难了，你推导一个我看看。
于是我就用了4页A4纸，原原本本的把那个公式从头到尾推了一遍。教授看了半天没吭
声，最后说：......还是太难了，你给他们加几个hints，譬如blah, blah, blah....

Doesn't work anymore. The police didn't seal off the dorm room and didn't
collect the evidence according to proper forensic technique. So anything
that's available right now can be and should be considered contaminated.
They can only be used as hint for investigative purpose, but not very strong
evidence in court of law. |
