stuyvesant 是老牌子了 里面的亚裔学生比较多
近年来 Hunter College HS的名企业越来越大了 师资力量也不错
从学业角度来讲，这两个学校都差不多
stuyvesant的孩子估计都是被灌输着进藤校的思想。
不过美国的大学看成绩主要是一方面，更主要的是看这些孩子高中四年的经历，commun
ity services， leadership，参加竞赛得奖没什么啊~~internship，summer job， 各
种不同的program 和好的推荐信。
你可以去DOE的网站看看这两个学校的reportcard上得成绩，对学校有个了解，如果可以
的话 和学校预约一下去实习考察一下 我想学校是愿意的
我要是能在这两个学校教教书 那也应该挺好玩了~~ |

装了comcast的网络服务，可是emule 开不了high id， bt 很多种子都找不到，连不上。
明显被comcast 限制了。
这样的网络根本是骗钱的。
急问大家哪些网络服务商的emule 可以获得high id 不受限制。
bt 可以正常连接，很多种子，不受限制。

American High是今年才过８００分。人民群众对此还有怀疑。
Irvington High是确定了８００分以上的高中学区，最近大家buy in，所以可以预期会
越来越好。
两边的房价已经有差别了。这个因素已经price-in了。

Monta Vista High（956）和Lynbrook High（942）分数相当，排名基本不分先后。
Monta Vista附近的房子普遍地比较大，房子和房子之间距离比Lynbrook大，住着舒服
些。但是附近有个水泥厂，有污染。
Lynbrook附近的房子地都偏小，住着比Monta vista挤，因为地小，也相对便宜些。那
边生活方便，靠近各个超市。
初中的话，Miller 987，Kennedy 984， Lawson 982，排名也不分前后。如果你买
Monta Vista或者Lynbrook高中，基本初中就是这三家，都挺好的。

1）Harker （非教会）非常注重学习
2）St Francis High （教会）
3）Bellarmine College Preparatory （教会，男校）
4）Valley christian high （教会，校园风景好，体育好）

或者至少也是CU high，结果竟然是Fremont high的，说实话，要是我的两女儿以后像
这个同事这样我也满足了。
还有一个同事是MSJ中学的，然后去了Berkeley，号称中学比大学辛苦不少，至少是医
学院的辛苦程度吧，想想都不值啊。两个同事殊途同归，可是这个MSJ显然付出的辛劳
要多不少。 |

是亚裔的升学情况，这个不知道怎么查。从school profile来看，los gatos high的大
藤差一些(HYPSM)，los altos也类似,大藤少。
LG可以申请saratoga high，如果SAH有空，可以上。vise versa。最近los gatos已经
满员，不接受saratoga的学生了。问题是，人口慢慢增加，将来saratoga high会不会
也满员，不接受LG的学生。还有个问题，住LG，上SA，住得远，离同学远，是不是不利
于social和各类活动？如果想上SA的学校，为什么不直接买SA?
个人对LG的一个concern是90%的白人环境，华裔是不是容易被bully，容易被边缘化为
书呆子。 |

后者学区好些，lehigh我们可以接受。前者交通方便些。
就是担心前者的学校， Westmont high 很烂吗？还是因为老摸多？到底能不能去？

。倒是喜欢Irvington high, 但周围几乎都是又老又小的房子。另外一个选择就是去
pioneer high那片。就这三个高中，懂行的请给点建议，最应该去哪个。我还没有选中

competitive, then homestead offer better chance to get into better
university than Cupertino high, which a lot of them are asian. But if your
kid is genius, then cupertino/lynbrook high has more smart kids. |

现在我们找到了两个房子，怎么选，想问下前辈的意见。特别是有孩子在这两个学校读
书的前辈，希望能给些意见。毕竟，我们在网上看到的信息以及对校园的参观，看到的
仅仅是数据和表面的现象。
我们后来在palo alto 也看了看。Gunn high 范围有个小apartment，一居室，不过，
厅大，后面有个大patio，可以种点花草，2500，不含utilities。没有washer和dryer
。厨房设施比较老旧。
misson 的范围有个房子，算是两居室，和房东同住，不过有自己独立的出入门，2450
，另加100utilities。房内的设施一般，不新不旧，有洗衣机，有个前院，不过不能当
后院用。稍微可以种点花草。还有个车库。
那么考量学校和校区，我感觉gunn要好些，学校很整洁，活动多，校区感觉服务不错。
mission的校区办公室电话打几天都没人接，留言也不回。而且试试不同的分机也没人
接，不知为什么。mission high 的评价似乎不如gunn好，校园也差些。有些脏乱。活

mountain view high, homestead high都是学区不错，租房交通都方便的option。
如果只考虑一线学区，还有lynbrook,monta vista和MSJ类似，saratoga和Gunn类似。

There are some other lists that put great emphasis on "IB" and "AP" courses
and you will get different ranking.
I am not very familiar with Samamish high. My impression is that it is never
a top ranked one. Interlake High is not good for its regular programs. It
ranked high in some lists due to the fact that it is the home school for the
gifted program. Usually, gifted progams are placed in not so good schools.

这个排名第一次引入SAT/ACT成绩占17.5%权重，AP/IB 权重17.5%
我认为这个排名还是比us news公平许多，比great school. org 全面许多。毕竟最终
衡量一个学校好坏是看升大学情况。
Mercerisland排名第二，而大家引以为豪的international high, bellevue high,
interlake high 没有入选，俺觉着合情合理。

1啊。等图书馆东面的巨大apt building盖好了，地铁也通上了，bellevue high也不会

? Also, any insight about Steiner Ranch? I found Steiner Ranch community is
pretty popular and there are lots discussion about it, and all kids there go
to Vandegrift high school. Westlake and Westwood are great high schools,
but house in both school boundaries are pretty old which we don't like.
