weekend, it's a really hot day out there.
there will be a ASCO review in NYC t/m, good to keep up with new trial

Highly competitive: Cardiology, Heme/Onc
Less Competitive:Pulmonary, Critical Care, Rheumatology (Becoming more

Not Competitive: ID, Endo, Nephrology, Geriatrics
I have seen good people not get GI and Cardiology spots. H/O is very
competitive, but there are many spots out there.

。下面我来写下我的情况吧。
毕业时间：〉10年
复习时间：很长。全职，>1.5 年；报名作废了一次，第二次又延期了一次。
复习资料：没有什么特殊的，跟大组学习的。FA, Kaplan.
题库完成时间以及准确率：
UW第一次做的时候很痛苦，幸好是和小组一起过，一个字一个字读下来的；后来再做及
考试前模拟做题的时候觉得轻松啦。
NBME 摸考时间以及成绩：
在做NBME期间收获很大，和小组讨论，并找到了做题的感觉。正确率~80%； ONLINE做
了FORM 6, 11,12, 成绩都是230-220，都是错了33个题目。摸考CD比较突出，92%；是
考前2个月做的。
考试时间以及成绩：
8/11考试，249/99
简单经验教训：
我的复习战线拉得很长，和版上绝大多数的朋友相比，我是没有最慢，只有更慢的啦。
这种拖拉的习惯很不好，以至于最后我学国的很多东西都忘记了。复习过程中最大的收

Reiley was the department chair when I was round and his morning report was
second to none, I was almost 顶礼膜拜 each time. It was such as loss as he

Alcohol inhibit folate acid absorption, also interfere with Heme synthesis.

着student doc forum 上的老美，老印拿了不少IV，心里挺着急。但是还是要淡定啊...

一般的heme/onc program, 第一年忙一点，第二年比较轻松，第三年做科研，对于CMG
来说小菜一碟。大多数人从第二年开始就可以开始moonlight了，一年的总收入怎么也
将近10万。三年的辛苦（或者是清苦）换20年的good life style，自己决定吧。 |

ASCO or ASH sessions for fellows. There are nice discussion regarding the
details.
Again, you have to love to do research( either clinical or basic) , and
aspire to become a leader in a subspecialty to consider Academic position.
And also you need to have some connections to get into academia. For example
, your mentor who is a big shot. Within academia, there are subtle

十月下旬到十一月初开始面试。heme path不好说，我有同事今年申请已经收到好多面
试邀请。但以前也有同事递申请就晚，一月份才去面试。bb和molecular pathology面
试好像也很早。去年我有同事八月份就开始面试了，十月份就定下去向了。 |

It is hard to pinpoint at this moment for me w/o knowing any lab values.
This is likely a systemic process with multiple organ system involvement: GI
, vascular and possible renal and heme. I would guess diagnosis is
eventually made by a pivotal biopsy.
How would you work her up?
I would focus on elucidating the cause of anasarca and hypokalemia,
specifically UA, urine protein/creatinin ratio, urine lytes to calculate

tell you about the path market.
Path is a small specialty, if you have geographic limitation, it will be
tough.
The market is still very good, initially I thought this year will be bad,
but it turn out to be very stronge. There will be more openings than the
graduated residents.
Unfortunately, many openings are in rural area, they are not very attractive
for most people.

and cancer biology的，各种分子技术都很熟悉，另外将来做Heme fellowship的时候
也会接触很多分子方面的，感觉单独那出１年时间做个molecular fellowship有点浪费
时间。
