上种点hardy ground cover， 这样省得年年堆mulch，我们这里风大，特别是我家游泳
池附近的花圃，风经常把mulch吹到游泳池里。如果爬满了groud cover 是否就可以不
铺mulch？
本来春天的时候被creeping phlox 迷住了，可是龙大说creeping phlox 开完
花就是一堆乱草。一直很喜欢ice plant， 但因为大多数都是在南方是多年生，在我们
7a好像都不能越冬。
今天偶然发现两种可以在我们这里越冬的ice plant，有种过的童鞋说说。

g.h.hardy是我的高中偶像，现在也还算吧，排的进侬偶像top 300。
hardy在英国近代数学史上有些重要，这个学数学的同学请补充纠正。
hardy在大众间的名气，我揣测和他晚年文章A Mathematician's Apology有关，如他本
人恰如其分所述：数学是年轻人的游戏，此刻我写本文，因为我已经老了。
虽然我从没认真学过数学，hardy一些作为不能在玩数学游戏的“老人”的关于数学的

作为小人，我好奇君子的想法，比如十一年前，我看了一本小书，其中作者g.h.hardy
回答了一个问题：如果为你立碑记述你生平贡献[*]，你希望它高耸入云无人能见；还
是低矮的树立在每个行人必经的路上。hardy的回复是前者。
这个选择称我心意，但是令我困惑，直到上个月翻林风眠的文字材料时偶然看到卢奥（
Georges Rouault）和学生的一段对话时，我才好像有点理解hardy的用意--
学生：如果将你和你的艺术追随者永远隔开，将你终生困在孤岛上，而你又知道你的艺
术不再有任何人能看到，你还画画吗？
