房要7000-10000左右。现在基本上RTA橱柜都是大陆生产的，在大陆生产的橱柜中，犹
太人开的厂生产的质量比香港人开厂的质量要稍好，然后比大陆人开厂生产的要好很多。
另外我看到过的RTA橱柜还有TSG和Fabuwood，TSG好像是华人开厂的，Fabuwood是犹太
人开厂的，Fabuwood价位比TSG略低。两个牌子看上去都不错。
costco的allwood 在homedepot也有卖，名字不一样，叫hampton bay cabinetry，式样
完全一样，如果从costco买，可以引用hampton bay的名字，说不定还能便宜10%。另外
Cabinet Liquidators也卖同样的产品。 |

这张虽然不是主力卡，但是用了一段时间发现确实还不错的，有惊喜。
需要注意的是，他家的点数价值比较低，是别家的1/3左右，但是攒点数的速度也比别
家快，比如加油，grocery, 吃饭5点，其他3点。综合起来和别家差不多吧。
好的地方就是，
1.Hilton旗下的酒店数量确实很多，大小城市都有，而且从低端到高端覆盖很广。低端
的Hampton和Hilton Garden价格很低，但是环境服务还是不错的。我更喜欢Hyatt但是
无奈Hyatt实在太少了。比如我们暑假去Glacier玩，Hyatt, Marriot, SPG旗下的酒店
都没有，而Hilton旗下却有好几家。
2.用点数换酒店的时候Hampton和HG经常会有10000-20000点一晚的rate, 我觉得这个

I remember there are quite a few hotels (Hampton, Doubletree) cost 20,000 in
Portland (OR) area. That is about $0.75 value per 100 points.
Now I moved to midwest, most Hampton, Doubletree here cost 30,000 to 40,000,
which makes it less than $0.50. |

季一晚都要200以上。如果按照平均水平来说，Hampton inn不管是硬件还是价格都远远
胜过Comfort inn.
：choice里有些酒店还不错。比如comfort inn，基本上和Fairfield inn, hix,
Hampton inn 一个等级。

LG要relocation到bay area。我们这几天来看房子。看了很多，很累很累，也没有特别
满意的。留下的选择中，总体就是越贵的越好。
一个$1850，一个$2135，一个$2345(Hamptons)。LG刚工作，我还是学生，没有收入。
2345是我们最满意的，可是觉得这个保险等各种费用也高些。不知道，大家都在哪里找
房子？是不是住贵的社区就安全呢？有住在Hamptons朋友可以说说吗？我对咖喱味有点
敏感，受不了租的房子里充满咖喱味，所以味道重的基本就直接pass了。看了2天了还
没找到合适的房子。
我事儿有点多，又希望少花钱，所以就很纠结了。大家觉得哪个地区最适合居住呢？在
San Jose附近我每次去好像都能闻到化工长的那种类似氨气的味道，到底有没有呢？欢

Apt 在hampton，新家在williamsburg, 单程30分钟，（23.5 mile) ,（就两套matress
(其中一套可能不要了）,2小时一定能搞定了。应该找hampton的人搬还是
williamsburg的人搬？怎么找？

带劲，就是去玩了点f-22的飞行没看全，f-22的动作实在太惊人了。看了下今年有点没
劲，f-22 raptor只有地面展示没表演，估计是同一天去Langley AFB的Airpower Over
Hampton Roads赶场去了。飞行表演觉得还是thunderbirds比blue angels好看，blue
angels的虫子太慢了，就是那个叫fat albert的c-130比较Q。hmmmm，有点想去hompton
va看Airpower Over Hampton Roads或者DC andrews AFB看DOD Joint Service Open

在Spartanburg工作的人，比较流行住在greenville，近点儿的，也住在介于两城之间
的greer。原因是Greenville比起Spartanburg，更有生气，或者用当地人的说法，是
just nicer。至于这种说法对不对，你自己去了以后可以比较。
住在spartanburg的人，年轻人喜欢住在west side，西边是新区，发展比较快，costco
, sams club都在西边，mall好像也在西边。Spartanburg中国人不多，好像几年前据说
全城也只有一二十家中国人，都在有限的几个公司工作，大多散布在西边。east side
相对来说是老城区，有钱人住在东边的比较多，converse heights, hampton heights
是上个时代的高尚区，现在hampton heights已经衰败了，coonverse heights口碑还是
很好，特别是辖区里的小学，是全市最好的，很多人为孩子上学，也挤在那里。东边比

Sims来到佛蒙特州立监狱找了一干牢犯，希望他们能配合参加一项特别的试验：每个犯
人都要尽可能地多吃研究人员提供的高热量的美食，以便Dr Sims观察犯人身体肥胖后
体内激素的变化。Dr Sims认为这些人在经过一通胡吃海塞之后是肯定会变胖的。当然

看了the hamptons， ashbury 还有hinsdale downtown区的 只有ashbury便宜些 但是
floor plan不是很好哎。
