check grammar as you type, and check spelling as you type are already
checked, but still not work. Probably because this word doc. is converted
from Latex. If I just type something in Word directly, grammar and spelling
check work as usual.

这些个grammar errors，直到最近onsite回来，本来一切都好，发thank you letter的
时候仔细反复看来看去，都没看出哪有error，结果晚上再看的时候发现有好几个明显
的单复数和动名词的错误，好不懊悔，如果因为这个把offer搞没了，这就简直是一个
不可原谅的失误。。。
板上各位前辈，朋友，不知你们是否愿意分享分享你们是如何克服这些语言上的问题的

think I may disable something so that it doesn't check errors in the body of

下面这个paper里面好像说只有natural language才被broca's area学起来，
artificial
language虽然也能在performance上通过学习提高，但是broca's area没什么activity变
化。也就是说一部分自然语言的skill是人类天生的，故而现有的各种natural
language有一些
共通的东西。好像好多地方也都提到universal grammar(GU)这个概念，这个GU有什么
具体形
态，有结论么？

谓descriptive grammar是和传统的prescriptive grammar相对而言。不是告诉你应该
怎么说符合语法规则，而是描述现实语境中人们怎么运用语言，从而总结出语法。
我大学时代虽然不是章老教的，但是我的老师也是编者之一，这个语法点他强调过，受
益匪浅。的确老外都是这么说的。很多中国的英语老师，尤其是中学的，教得不好，所
以版上很多没有学过英语语法的人会有误解。
如果觉得章老的书不够权威的话，Rodney Huddleston and Geoffrey K. Pullum所著，
现在比较流行也很简约的A Student's Introduction to English Grammar也可以参考
，这本语法书大概不会错了吧？ |

The purpose of studying grammar and doing grammatical analysis
is not to be a master in grammar. The very goal of learning
the rules is to forget the rules. Surely, there is always
an aural/oral aspect of language learning even with a language
like Latin whose spoken form has long been lost. But that doesn't mean
one shouldn't enjoy learning grammar or begin with grammar
when one forays into a new language.

有些学者强调“递归”思维在语言里的重要性
说这个最初是跟人类迁徙活动等相关的
人类自然语言的语法大致都是context-free grammar
学过计算理论或编译原理的就知道
非洲一些语言大概regular grammar就能描述
也有极少数语言（瑞士德语）要context-sensitive grammar
不是所有的大脑都有这个“操作系统”甚至“硬件”来完成这些计算
不过这都是纯从句法来说，没考虑句法到语义的map
而理论意义大于实际意义 |
