i tried to install glib into our lab's Sparc workstation with SunOS5.
1. i downloaded the source from gnu's website: http://www.gtk.org/
2. gunzip it, and tar xvf it.
3. in the source directory, run the command "sh config"
4. make
5. make install
the steps 1 - 4 is all right without any error. however, when i do
step 5, it tells me the destionation ("usr/local/lib") file system is
read only.
so the installation is unsuccessful.
i logged in as administrator -- "root".
and i found the use |

最近经常想这个问题。在美国花1300-1700租房，在上海这个价钱能租徐汇（举例而已
）最繁华地段highrise. 我刚去看过，亲眼见。吃饭比美国便宜很多。这里两个人花4-
50美元正常，国内也就150人民币，还不用交税和小费。在这里去超市随便就花个三四
十美元，国内花不了这么多。所以，上海物价高于美国是瞎扯。至于奢侈品价格高，你

最近回国几个星期，去到上海和广州。 颇有感触，特作此文。 (以下纯属本人见闻和

环境
这一直是回国不可不提的话题。那天刚从浦东机场出来，在出租车上就觉的外面灰蒙蒙
的。 虽然当时天黑，但是和美国还是很不一样。 第二天白天得到了验证，能见度较低
。抬头是看不到蓝天的。听说这已经是得到了改善的，因为前一阵世博。 但是几天也
都习惯了，因为不怎么抬头看了。 和广州相比，上海的空气质量还算是不错的。 那天
去了广州附近的西樵山，站在山顶上也看不到什么东西，都被灰尘蒙住了。因为那里有
很多的陶瓷工厂，污染很严重。但是政府也是在努力的。 很多陶瓷工厂都被迁到郊外
了。

我在上海和广州都体验过地铁。中国的地铁还是比美国牛多了。 崭新的地铁，车站里
也干净得让我不知道该不该落脚。速度很快，而且等的时间很短，即使在周末也是如此

不知不觉回来已经将近一年了。刚回来的时候写过两个帖子，今天来盯着房子装修，没
事就再写一个。
其实感慨挺多的，千头万绪。也不知道该写些什么，想到哪里写到哪里吧。
总得感觉，国内的一切总在不断变化着，人口密度又大，人均素质低，因此活得比较累
。但是如果操作的好的话，对于原来在美国是中产阶级的，保持一个基本层面和美国拉
平，其他层面超出原来的物质生活水准，还是不难的。当然这又是见仁见智的事情。对
于我来说，家，工作单位和交通工具(私家车)中的环境都不次于美国（当然要强求房子
有很大的后院在中国也不现实），饮食干净，可以去gym运动，网络资讯的接受不受限
制，通常活动的区域洁净，中小疾病的医疗条件干净，有效。家庭的疾病，养老等保障

1） FMP 和 Qt／Glib 的 Signal framework 有什么本质不同吗？ 好像都是 work
submission。 在submit work/task/ 的时候， caller 提供 target object, target
method, target arguments. 最后work给提供到一个eventloop里。 在 FMP里，
Messenger有eventloop 吧。
2） 对没有Runtime Type Information 的语言， 如C, C++， FMP 可用吗？Glib/C
implement了复杂的 Type System, Qt/C++ 提供了MOC compiler 来解决 C/C++ 的 RTI

好像7.2的是glib2.2
