their manager's job to former catcher Joe Girardi, ESPN
reported, citing a person it didn't identify.
The Yankees last week interviewed Girardi, bench coach Don
Mattingly and first-base coach Tony Pena as possible
replacements for Joe Torre, who wasn't rehired after his
contract expired. Hank Steinbrenner, the son of Yankees owner
George Steinbrenner, told the New York Times that the team would
make its decision today.

Especially to bull pen management.
Torre only knows to ride the over-used horse (Remember paul quantro?)
Girardi actually plays match up game, and trusts his less trustable pitchers
like Jose Veras (Who pitched scoreless innings in yank's overtime win
against As).
Well, in game performance is only part of the manager's job anyway. |

去年丫举杯夸口28th总冠军的时候，我看底下的观众就不是那么high。去年你有年轻一
岁的Jeter，ARod，Jorge，Andy还有Damon和Matsui，有这么多的talents，还有运气，
让他自己真以为是自己是冠军功臣了，他那套东西对yankees试用了。
这个赛季已经有很多场可输可赢的比赛在joe的“带领”下最后输了，包括All Star。
感觉他一直都没有临场战术策略，用人不敢大刀阔斧，并且盲目自信。
这个系列赛输在rotation上了，我当时就想Lee的第三场就应该让AJ投，能拼就不能拼
就放弃，并且像DS一样让Andy投Game2，今天让Phil投，现在大概结果就倒过来了。
还有个最严重的问题，就是他无法知道一个球员的limit，很多时候该换人的时候就是
不换，美言约相信球员，非要等damage done的情况下再亡羊补牢。他的用人就时常前
后矛盾。
在AL EAST打成这样战绩的yankees在实力上和Rangers怎能有比分牌上的那么大？并且

现在是每次输球就是失误被无限放大

是空垒2 out,就算chaves reach, 你大概还需要一个甚者两个hit才能得分， 何况接下
来的Swisher这个戏列也是打的屎一样。
Yankees的目标不是过第一轮（当然能否过的去现在难说），要想在季后赛走得远，一
定需要一个有一定自信的，一定productive的Arod. |

ps: You still don't get what rotvap explained to you. If Ibanez
PH for ARod at the 8th, then O's just need to walk him. 1B was
empty, and there was exactly 1 out--the classbook IBB situation.
Given Ibanez's hot bat and Swisher being next, it was a very easy
decision. That would mean both Ibanez and ARod were erased
unnecessarily. Joe was right to keep Ibanez for a later PH chance.

they lost the series, must be Cano's fault.
Nowadays, the only expectation for ARod is to get on bases, which he

Do you really think Showalter was stupid enough to give
Ibanez an easy RBI chance with 1B empty? Swisher would

Admit the obvious: Joe was right not to PH Ibanez in the 8th.
