作为geriatrician，把这些方方面面顾及到，安排具体方案，也许是你每天工作的主要
内容。
现在老年化越来越严重，以后很多临床科室都会学一些geriatrics方面的东西，至于
geriatrics的
fellowship，偶觉得如果是真心感兴趣，喜欢在大医院里做偏重于社科的研究，学学倒
是不错，否则

Psychiatrist + 临终关怀。LZ不喜欢PCP的话，geriatrics估计不会太适合。
至于Research，geri好像涉及很多social science/policy etc，看LZ喜欢什么了 |

这么做。
就你所说，geriatrics 就是完全的pcp了吗？总会有一些长处或者不一样的方面吧？要
不然为什么会有人去做这个专科呢。。。
还有，我的出发点是，fellowship应该会给我多一年的强化训练，不管做pcp还是做专
科，至少会更有信心把？
另外，如果对于primary care 不是非常感兴趣，那么是不是fellowship完了以后 可以
有更多的机会作科研呢？
问了一大堆，前辈们多多指点... |

发帖数: 2763 | 5 geriatric的focus，在老年痴呆，老年精神/神经/康复/social environment之类的评
估，很多还cover nursing home。但是他们的工作一般PCPC都能做，所以只有留在
academic的setting，才有可能专门搞自己专著的研究。
还是那句话，你想做专科的目的是什么？就是不做PCP?为什么不想做PCP?哪一点特别
bother你？如果不想做PCP，自己究竟想做什么，是喜欢门诊还是病房，这些都是你要
问自己的。
如果是为了多一年的强化训练，可以去好的医院做hospitalist，经常参加他们的讲座
和临床活动，没有必要去拿一年fellow的低工资。再者说，不管什么fellow training
，还是卖苦力为主，自己的修行还是得靠自己的，不可能什么都学了，以后fellow毕业
还是在不断学习的。

的pain medication abuser了，所以愿意去做palliative的真不多。
我们这里有两个去做geriatrics的老印：）。没办法没有绿卡又没有research
background,申请个renal都没有面试，考虑到geriatrics出来后有potential在nursing

1） 住院医第二年开始准备。我的一位Attending建议我做老年科，我个人也很喜欢
，于是就选择到老年科做elective，去了四个星期，这四个星期非常好，当时大开眼界。

章很麻烦，耽误了2个多月，材料才得以从学校寄出。个人觉得申请算是比较顺利。把
我当时准备的情况跟大家说一下也许对将要申请的人有一点帮助。
我个人从这里寄出去的材料包括：
1.国内护士执照的公正，在这里网上找的公证处，在纽约，叫最佳公正，电话

2.指纹卡，就在我住的地方的警察局办的，free
3.handbook上的申请表，贴一张照片在右下角（handbook链接：http://www.rn.ca.gov/pdfs/applicants/exam-app.pdf）
这一页有一项是填社会安全号，我当时没有就空着的，没有关系。
4.两张支票，一张办指纹的($51)，一张申请的($75)
5.写了一封信，表示感谢，一张纸，很客气的几句话

recommendations and I was also just giving options.
The TCA recommendation was not based on the Beer's list.
Antidepressants have been used for insomnia for long time, and TCAs have
been most rigorously studied compared to the other antidepressants. There
are a lot of review articles available for search through PubMed if you are
interested. TCAs are definitely appropriate options using at low dose and

昨天，这些人折腾了一天，白天，晚上皮啦啦，也不知道谁把谁杀了，谁把谁带走了。
反正我先生和孩子被绑架了，就不知道是不是已经遇害了。我本来是打算睡觉的，但他
们头上，地下装电磁波攻击器，让我几乎窒息。虽然我没倒下，但其实他们在我身上扎
的毒针已经蔓延，我能感觉到我的呼吸有窒息的感觉。我想我对他们已经非常仁慈了，
但他们不依不饶地攻击我，欲置我于死地，让我非常生气，特别是肆意伤害我家里的人
，绑架我先生和孩子，而且有许许多多无辜的生命毁于他们之手，有必要把他们曝光。
当然我还没分析这里边是那几个人具体攻击我，伤害我的，但他们显然都是一伙的。鉴
于他们伤害我的头部，胸部 和胃部，我就把这几部分的医生都曝光，受害者慢慢去调
查，追查他们吧。
