at it in a different way. Most of those degrees were obtained as continuing
education as ppl were taking advantage of corporate education benefit, and
not the other way around. If you take a look at the demographics, many ppl
attending UH are actually professionals that are already in the industry.
They were geologists taking engineering classes or vise versa. Or they are
profressionals taking advanced degrees.

I meant those geophysicists, geologists, image processing scientists. Those
jobs require phD to earn 15w .
On a side note, engineers in oil and gas industry may not have bonuses at

是ENTRY LEVEL, 面试不会太注重技术问题,因为通常是你进去有人带你做, 只要你有相
当的学位, 技术上没问题.
面试关键是想看你是个什么样的人, CHARACTER. Below are my two cents:
1. 你要表现出你是TEAM PLAYER, 比如, 你讲你以前的EXPERIENCE时要强调是和别人团
对合作, 而不是经常自己单打独斗.而且和别人合作都很成功,愉快.
2. 乐观向上, 精神充沛, 经常保持笑容, 当然不是无故的笑.通常面试的会开些玩笑,
缓和气愤, 你要配合.
3. 要让人感觉能容易相处, 比如不要冷场...具体怎么表现, 不好用语言.
4. 要准备一个业余爱好, 注意是经常性的爱好, 比较合适的是一项体育项目, 最好是
团队的, 比如打排球..当然也不能完全撒谎....90%情况下会有这么一个问题: So |

人说环境专业
工资低，有很多高的例子；说环境专业low tech,就是卖体力，有那么多不是low tech,
也能开
公司甚至是上市公司赚钱的例子。当然，如果你的principal就是个老geologist做上去
的， 你
要按着他指的路子走，还真是先干几年sampling卖体力的活。
在graduate school的时候某次向个比我年纪小的师姐complain说，自己命苦哈。人做
modeling,对个计算机搞excel table, 既容易又有很多时间做功课。我TMD冰天雪地跑
雪山上去
采样，回来跑THg, MeHg, TOC, DOC, IC, TN, EA, pH, etc etc, 从泥到水到叶子到
soil gas都做, 手上给强酸烫几个印，瓶子洗了成千上万, 通宵达旦做实验，做不出来
只能在办公
室睡行军床, 也不够时间做作业。 师姐说现在受苦是为了日后享福，有真工夫找工作
的时候就用得
