in the U.S. last year, a far bigger drop than the nation has been averaging
since 2001, the Justice Department said.
The Bureau of Justice Statistics reported there were 3.8 million violent

以前大家讨论的本文基本不重复。
讨论烙印前，用白人作为标杆，先看看以下的具体事例
１。族群gathering的时候，是讨论哪里有deal哪里有便宜shopping检还是讨论career/
real time工作内部斗争gossip.
编者按：本wsn基本不参加老中gathering，因为无法忍受老中花１小时讨论一个小deal
或一件小事情，而且反反复复地讨论，没完没了。抽刀断水水更流，。。。。。，操。
好在还是说中文，如果是说英语估计不把老白老印搞成中风就哦泥托佛了。
２。工作中的give and take.老中常常以为干好自己的工作即可，多干无意。这个比不
过老印，更比不过精英老白。另外，工作中的办公室政治老中不敢插手，不敢结党，不
敢为朋友出头／擦屁股，人家凭什么要和你交心？老印深淫此道，敢做敢为，令老白也
不得不敬畏３分。这就是老印的核心优势。
３。平时交流／做presentation的气场。老印一站出来就一甘地／mlk的气场，涛涛不
绝，娓娓道来，前因后果，里重后急，条理清晰，避重就清，混水摸鱼，搞得众人皆醉

总体来讲，我们老中的弱点是英语口语不够好，不善于表达自己，懦弱，对于坏人缺乏
足够的防范和戒备；相当一部分同胞喜欢窝里斗，喜欢占自己人的小便宜。这些估计大
家或多或少都有感触，我就不多说了。
但是我觉得我们决不应当妄自菲薄，论勤奋、知识，大多数在美国的中国同学都是不错
的。当前，我们这个族群在美国的总体地位的确不高，这里有政治、历史、文化、语言
等多方面的客观因素，有我们自身的弱点，也有相当一部分原因是由于别人的偏见。但
这些都不是一成不变的！至少，你通过努力，可以改变个人的命运。
我记得自己刚到美国的时候，别人跟我打招呼都听不懂，但我并没有气馁。上课只要有
机会，我就争取回答问题。半个学期以后，老师在返回一次作业时对我说“你总是做得
很好！”旁边有两个学生，在向老师求情，说作业时间紧所以没有做好。老师把脸一扭
，说“我已经给了你们足够的时间，这不关我的事。”那两个人，正是你口中无敌的老
印。
第二个学期，一个老印老师教我们课，有次讲了一个很难的东西，然后问大家谁懂了，
我成了班上唯一举手的人，引来大家一阵哄笑，那个老印老师也轻蔑地一笑。那一次，

Columbus Police sprayed Mace on several people in a crowd that had
gathered to sign up for a list to get subsidized housing at a northwest
Columbus apartment complex.
Police said the crowd started to gather Friday night for the Saturday
morning event at The Heritage apartment complex on Gatewood Road near
Sunbury Road in northeast Columbus.
