虽然各大航空公司、机场和联邦航管署（FAA）改革了办事章程和航班时刻，但纽
约新州地区3大机场去年航班晚点问题仍像5年前那样糟糕，即使经济衰退造成航班数量
大减也未能带来任何纾缓。
政府问责办公室（GAO）的报告显示，2011年上半年，当地3大机场——肯尼迪国际
机场、拉瓜地亚机场、纽瓦克自由国际机场，以及租赁公司飞机的新泽西州Teterboro
机场和费城国际机场，负责处理12%的国内航班，但晚点航班数量却佔了全国总数的近
五成，比2005年同期的1/3还高。
纽约地区航班严重晚点对全美机场产生连锁反应，FAA称，每年有1/3的晚点航班由
纽约机场造成，正如业内专家麦克格劳所说：「纽约打个喷嚏，全国领空都会患上感冒
。」
晚点由多种原因造成，包括飞机机械故障、机组人员迟到、乘客失踪或行李放错。
在许多情况下，天气也是重要因素。冬季的雪雾天气都会导致飞机数个小时不能起飞，
而夏季暴雨也常造成机场航班大乱。

No one had yet to figure out the way to jigger economy.
Prior to formal Iraq war propoganda, Bush and congress did give a hard try.
In Jan 2003, the so called non-partisan GAO predicted strong recovery of
economy, at least in term of unemployeement.
Guess what, whoever economists plus politicians on, of course including
Greenspan, all sweared the recovery would only be better than GAO predicted.

话说早在2001年的时候，出过件轰动一时的案子：曾经轰动全世界的高瞻间谍案。
当事人美国英雄高瞻从中国监牢保外，到美国监狱完成十年刑期，真是一桩现代版的拍
案惊奇。
据当时的《纽约时报》报道，高瞻和李少民在学术会议上相识。当高瞻在雪城大学
攻读博士学位的时候，曾徵求李少民如何支付学费问题，李把高瞻介绍给了台湾支持西
方研究中国问题的某学术基金会。
高瞻的律师孔盓荣说，李少民後来要求高瞻帮助收集关於中国分析两岸关系和关於
台湾局势的文件。高瞻然後找在中国大陆的朋友帮忙，得到了有关讲话、杂志文章和图
书摘要复印本，高瞻把那些材料交给了李少民。

2013年11月2日，星期六，休斯敦的天气格外晴朗，“恒丰杯”网球双打比赛在赖斯大
学网球中心顺利举行。这场比赛是由恒丰银行（American First National Bank, www.
afnb.com）独家冠名，并由国际华人交通运输协会德州分会（www.ictpatx.org），休
斯敦华夏学人协会(www.sinoprofessionals.org)，及大休斯敦地区中国联合校友会(

比赛那天，又是打封闭，打了封闭，手臂还是无论如何抬不过头顶。高敏觉得，自己的
“那一天”大约就是今天了。
她连准备活动都没有好好做，想着干脆跳砸算了。这样一想，心仿佛安定下来，高敏平
静而绝望地迎接自己的失败。
然而，就在她登上跳板的瞬间，忽然看到，就在对面的看台上，中国大使馆的工作人员
和留学生们在奋力挥舞着五星红旗。
与此同时，她听到广播里的声音 – “Min,Gao, The Peoples republic of China”
就在这一瞬间，高敏忽然感到，她无论如何不能输掉这场比赛！
一切准备在这一瞬间烟消云散。
她的手臂，在那一瞬间高高地举过了头顶，象每次一样！
