几个新人AP（移民为主，很久找不到美国人了）跟系主任发信都是Dear Professor之类
的称呼：-）
但是拿了career或RO1的就硬气了,基本也留不下
他们私下评价基本就是fresh phd/post的career第一站，拿到funding的铁定跑路，拿
不到的就随便被老人按在地上摩擦
不过这可能跟系的风格和系主任个人风格也有关系
纯教学的系会矛盾少一点，反正都没有利益么
等退休的混日子当官也会nice一点 |

穷州的regional州立影响比较大
一些边缘性的硕士博士项目找不到生会被砍掉
但是本科教育因为便宜，应该还是可以找到外国留学生； 研究生再考出去呗
不过混高教口的年轻人一般本事都大心气都高
没等学校衰落自己先跳了
老头子们都tenure了早就不搞研究了教教本地的本科生玩玩也没任何压力

1. 你已经有身份工作，不需要他们担心H1b之类的事情。
2. 你能教书，有很多很多的教学经验，然后你可能接受晚上和周末教课，你也熟悉各
种distance的教学技术和平台。
另外，你可以重点说一下你沟通和manage student expectation的能力，也就是说你是
个好mentor，然后会管理学生。
另外community college的tenure track也是有意义的，因为这些个地方的tenure
track faculty人数少，大部分老师都是adjunct professor和lecturer，所以TT
faculty要承担很多很多的行政职能。换句话说就是你的权力会比flagship university
的AP权力大很多，呵呵。这个不一定是坏事。 |

我也犯了一个大错误：因为非常忙，我把两个面试安排在相邻的两天。
我目前在一个200名以后的号称自己是研究型大学的学校工程学院做TTAP。
第一个面试学校是100名前一点的一个私立学校，当时就觉得自信不足，担心私立的对
教学要求太高，但他们对教学的问题问的也就两个。另外，感觉面试的时候有两个问题
，我回答得很不好：1是问我在一个教学型大学，有什么感觉（一直没弄懂这个问题，
我让他重复了，也没弄懂）；我都被问蒙了，给的答案是教学可以促进科研；2是问我
需要什么样的资源，我没回答好，就说我做工程，有个普通的电脑，给STARTUP的钱覆
盖学生前两年，第一年给teaching release即可。committee 的Chair对我一直很热情
，面完后还主动说两周内给答复，结果一周多一点就说不能move forward，说我的简历
看起来好，言外就是我面试表现差了。
第二个是同一级别的公立flagship学校，这个职位我很感兴趣，但是感觉安排的就是一

fostex这回偷懒把denon给出卖了，除了一些细节和颜色，用料和结构几乎没有变

道的一点是，这回丰达广告：

sony是名厂吧。你说那箱子值2万七？
俺DIY的音箱中高单元跟这个一模一样，低音是双12寸的丹拿30W54。分频自己设计买高
级元件自己焊，随时调整，直到自己听着最舒服。俺花了2千，你给俺一个2千的厂箱俺
是绝对不换的。一万的可以考虑一下，毕竟自己做的工艺差点。 |
