FETE现在出题很偏混乱,经验不足的话很容易挂,如果干的活是跟投资,Hedging之类的关
系紧密的话会占很大优势. APM没考过,据说这两年背的成分比计算要多(同FETE相比而
言),你可以上outpost上看看考这个的人怎么说. |

and apm/afe is another exam for investment/erm track respectively.
generally it is recommended to take FETE first, then either APM or AFE
search marlie's post about the comparison of these two. I wrote it long long
ago. So it may not be the same now. |

FETE这几年的出题趋势是减少syllabus的覆盖面，但是细节抠得越来越紧，听刚考完的
人说有些内容就是在manual里面没有提到但是看书的话可以在一些几角旮旯的地方找到
的，光看manual的话还是有过的机会，但是如果要保险一点的话还是要看书 |

我不是什么牛人。高中的理想是做金融或者计算机，结果那年数学家大会在上海召开，数学系突然火的不知所云。就莫名选了数学做本科，06年来美国读统计phd，后来发现几乎所有导师都在做biostat，自己兴趣缺缺。于08年跟系里说暑假开始断了我的奖学金吧。男人么，咱就背水一战釜沉舟的找工作。08年大家也知道，投行PE,VC,HF之类，机会很少很少。后来纯属运气好，阴差阳错被一个保险公司好心收留，开始做了精算。
我是08年当时为了多个选择开始考了两门P和FM，2年过去了，现在也都考完了。说说看法
P：记得P是吃了顿buffet直接去考的，数学系毕业所以没什么好说的，几个兄弟一块裸考。1小出头点做完，哥们几个都是10分。经验是好好自己学门概率论，比P有价值的多。概率论其实很有意思。P是入门的入门，往深了去有些纯概率的brainteaser真的很搞很有乐趣。
FM：利息理论也是金融业的基础了。主线就是DCF。当时也是和1个哥们图书馆坐了3整天研究盗版ASM。2人都拿了8分。这哥们浙大top1，估计他发挥失常。

生的事情。 你说国家是什么呢，再强大， 也是专政的机器。我只是个北美WSN, 也不
知道能为家乡做什么，只是让大家帮忙扔点砖头，要是你会怎么办？到大使馆抗议能有
