Actually they got thier visa in Feb, 2002 and came to visit us from Feb,2002
to Jan.2003. I did apply extension from both of them. This year in the
beginning of Feb, they applied the visas and got rejected both. the reason the
VO gave was they stay in US for 11 months, too long. Today they went for the

with their separate application, I submitted my birth notarization with my
parent's names on it)
Now My mother's petition got approved. but my father's case needs addition
document - i.e. marriage certificate.
It seems that father's case needs more document than mother's.
What if they could not find their marriage certificate any more?
Has anybody gone through the same challenge?

近期钢琴练习中，孩子最中意的一首，不知道他是被旋律还是歌词所吸引。我认为他并

最近搬家，把原来的房子租给一位远道而来的博士后。闲聊之际，无意中发现这位书碟爱
好者那里有许多宝贝，其中之一就是DVD版的因父之名(In the Name of Father)，这片子
本来有许多次机会可看，但因为种种原因尽皆错过。於是回家坐在笔记本前戴上耳机静静
地看，不知道是不是因为自己听力退化的缘故，加之又无字幕，约有一半的对话没听清楚
，还好，对於影片，即使没有对话，画面也可以传达大部分的信息，於是被触动，被震撼

IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER那一家真惨. 我当时看完之后还去网上查了查真实事件,
大概过程是这样:
1974年的时候, 北爱尔兰共和军在英国的GUILFORD制造了两起PUB爆炸案, 炸死了5个,
超过100人被炸伤. 英国举国愤怒悲痛然. 警察后来逮捕了GERRY CONLON等四名当时正
在GUILFORD附近的北爱尔兰青年, 大加审问. 四个人很快被屈打成招, 承认是他们四人
策划了该次事件. 之后迅速被判无期到30年不等的徒刑. 被称为GUILFORD FOUR. GERRY
