有几百个code要跑，每个都用了multicore的parallel coding，所以总共需要很多很多
cpu，我自己的学校没有这个计算的能力，听说amazon有个cloud computing，但都找不
到客户服务的联系人，完全不知道能不能用。我的程序是R。
这里有没有人知道那里能找到暂时用两个月的跑程序的server？我愿意付钱的。谢谢！ |

如果工资理想的话，完全可以当作永久职业来做。
不知道你为什么认为这个吃力不讨好？我认识的core facility director
都活得很爽的样子。
工资倒是不特别高，大概是6万到8万之间，但是比起作千老来好的多了，
跟大部分公司的scientist工资都差不多了。而且上班时间是固定的，
只有别人求你的份，没有你求别人的份。偶尔加个班那就是给对方的极大
面子了。比方说我们的质谱的director,我们有时候特别着急的时候，
会求他给我们对某个样品加急，我们都是感恩不尽，因为我们心里明白
他没有任何为任何人加班的义务 |

至于说“混吃等死”，其实说开了大部分职位都是这样，公司里面的更是这样。
尤其是大公司里面的研究人员，大部分都是在混。
至于说上升的空间？你拿的这个职位并不比公司里面的研究职位空间小。
公司里面的其实也就是junior scientist -> senior scientist->director,
而你已经跨过前面几步直接成了director了，虽然以后头衔可能不会变
（都到顶了，还怎么变？），但是工资是可以升的，而且也可以跳槽到更好
的大学去，也可以拿这个头衔回国去吓人。
如果你乐意作研究的话，也可以申请和你的本职工作相关的课题来自己做的。
当然如果你属于那种不折腾不舒服的那种人，非要感受一下升级的喜悦的话，
也可以在第一年自行命名自己为junior director, 然后第二年为senior director, 第
三年为managing director，第四年为和executive director
...等等等等，反正怎么乐怎么来就好了。在我理解中，你应该就是该
facility的老板，所以你要手下这么称呼 |

就像NIH的正式faculty位置（不是那种有5年限制的），虽然大家都拼命的
