Q1. ERAS instruction上说，只有Certify and Submit MyERAS Application后才能
apply to programs。这个My Application应该是指那些申请info和CV，并不包括
Personal Statement，对吗？
Q2：共识是LoRs应该在9月1号前upload上，这样能保证9月15前出现在ERAS PostOffice。
我的第一封LoR的作者昨天email说已经upload了，结果当天ERAS／ADTS里“First
Available to Programs”一栏下显示这封信有日期是“8／18／2014” 。这表示这封
信已经到ERAS PostOffice了么？有这么快？
另外我没有看到ERAS／ADTS里有“Available in ERAS PostOffice‘这样一栏，你们有
么？“Available in ERAS PostOffice‘和 ”First Available to Programs”是一回
事？

以和投手"好"等价。时至今日，ERA仍然是各种媒体中最常提到的投手数据。
为什么说ERA是垃圾统计数据呢，从ER的定义就可以看出了。某一局2out后batter靠
error上垒，假设之后投手被连打5发全垒打，虽然丢掉6分，但ER是0, 因为如果没有
error, 该局结束，所以投手不对接下来的5发全垒打负责。
最近十多年sabermetrics逐渐流行起来，人们开始用更好的统计量分析棒球的数据。一
个比较普遍的结论是: 投手对ERA控制的能力很小，换句话说，即使一个投手在几年保
持一个比较稳定的水准，但他的ERA可能波动很多。

1）一个推荐人两份推荐信的情况，前人有问过，还是不太明白。是要从oasis的
supporting services里面分别寄两份recommendation letter request，然后让推荐人
从两个request里面分别upload到ERAS？Upload到ERAS之后，好像要1-2星期才会显示，
从ERAS里有办法区分这两封信么？周转率有点慢，所以怕耽误事。
2)医学院成绩单自己手上还有原件，是不是自己scan然后upload就可以了？还是一定要
1）给ecfmg打电话，让他们给转到eras postoffice？ 或 2）寄一份原件给eras，让他
们给上载？看到有前人因ecfmg扫描不清楚而不收的情况。

As ERAS indicates, "You are responsible for tracking the status of your ERAS
application materials via the Applicant Document Tracking System (ADTS),
accessible from MyERAS. Your uploaded documents will be listed on ADTS;

questions related to the ADTS and your ERAS application, contact ERAS

mail received on Monday, July 18. ERAS Support Services is currently
scanning documents received on Friday, July 15. It seems curretly it takes
less than two weeks for a received document to be scanned to the system.

scans the documents and then uploads them to ERAS PostOffice. Yes the
documents show up in ERAS PostOffice are already scanned by ECFMG.

我不明白的是：
1. 当我们送的文件显示到了OASIS的时候，是否已经扫描完成了呢？因为文件到ECFMG
的日子，和出现在OASIS的日子之间明显有个delay。
2. 怎么知道文件是不是真的upload到了ERAS account里面了？OASIS只能查是不是到了
ECFMG不是？myERAS里面显示的只有我输入的推荐人的姓名啊，信upload进了ERAS之后
，这个显示的状态会有变化吗？

supporting documents that have been submitted to the ERAS PostOffice.

的过程，有个问题要请教这里的前辈。
从ECFMG网站的timetable（http://www.ecfmg.org/eras/2013-timeline.html）来看，首先是6/26申请一个ERAS Token，然后就是准备材料，包括原来国内的成绩单。上面说如果邮寄的话，最迟是8/1要寄到。如果用电子方式，最迟9/1要寄到。但是ERAS 7/1号才open,7/1到9/1国内学校都在放暑假，怎么让他们寄成绩单？ 还是晚几天也没关系？9/15好像是正式把申请材料寄到ERAS PostOffice的日子。 谢谢啦！ |

现在oasis里。然后你再在ERAS里只finalize一个坑(注意专业要相同）。等一天，ERAS
会把信从oasis里转过来。
等第一封信出现在 ERAS pos toffice 里之后，再搞第二封。
根据它们依次出现的时间，你可以监控这个过程。
2.最省事的做法：给ecfmg打电话，让他们给转到eras postoffice。如果寄的话不需要
原件，复印件就可以了。 |

These include the medical school transcript which belongs to ECFMG, and the
recommendation letters I waived. I called ECFMG asking them to transfer my

关于1你讲得很清楚，那么我的文件上载好像出了问题。我先从oasis send了
recommendation letter给推荐人, 然后在ERAS 里面 finalize给他了一个坑，他10天
前就上载了信，信也出现在oasis，但10天过去了，信还没有在ERAS postoffice里面出
现，是怎么回事？
我仔细看了一下，oasis里面他的名字没有middle name，也就是一个"D", 难道这会是
原因？还是我再等等？
关于2,对我来说，最省事的办法是直接scan我手中的成绩单原件，然后upload到oasis
，文件也出现在oasis上了，这种是他们可以接受的方式么？还是他们不会接受，因为
我的原件成绩单还没有被认证？

Possible. Next Monday, u can call eras and ask them to transfer the lor from
oasis to eras post office for you. Next time, keep the names in oasis and
eras exactly the same.

Starter left with first and second with two outs. Reliever comes in to
surrender two singles to allow two inherited runners to score but retired
the third batter. Inning over.
这时候这两个ER要charge到starter的头上，而reliever投了0.1IP没有ER。
所以有些时候看到reliever的WHIP很高，但ERA很低是因为他只需要pitch 0.1 or 0.2
IP.
所以对reliever来讲，inherited/stranded比例也是很重要的。
还有现在sabermatrics里的FIP也变得越来越重要了。比较ERA和FIP来看是不是fluke，
也是一个很普遍的办法。

如果有绿卡或EAD,可以申请军医院么? 我见到几个program名字上挂着 'army/uniform/
naval', 不知能否申请
有些program网站上写着要求 ’got USMLE certificate when apply’，or ‘2
months of formal USCE’. 我不具备这些条件，是不是就根本不用申请这些program.
