其实我想了想,我们家的知识基本上是在学校学的,
没有学校,我们一定现在啥也不会.
我还是挺喜欢这里的学校的.
至少小孩学什么都不是带着反感和考试的压力.
我那时,就知道学习是为了考试.考前看看书,背一遍,
考完了,Buffer就清除了,全部忘掉.
尤其历史地理生物这种副科,其实是对人素质很Enrich的一些东东.

以前问过，现在还是犹豫不决
报名后天截止，大家出出主意？
第一个，g&t,据说academics不错。
学校本身没有afterschool，在学校附近有不错的afterschool管接送。
g&t班大多白人亚裔，但是整个学校有70%的黑裔西裔。
第二个，progressive,据说不非常重视academics，k没有作业。
比较注重literature, creativity, 课程不是很structured,etc.
家长的involvement非常多（我自己不太喜欢家长太多的involvement）
学校比较diversified, 白人和其他裔各占一半，亚裔比第一个要更多一些
我们儿子有点小聪明，所以觉得g&t比较适合，有人说在第二个容易bored.
但是儿子很shy.很多人说第二个更nurturing, given his shyness.

咱们这边都是这个价格。
桐桐就算上了一年级，afterschool从下午2：45开始，一个月也要$595呢。这还是去年
的价格。到下个学年不知道要涨多少。
而且木有option，那里的AS就是free play，你爱去不去！

就这样，9个月enrichment是4000多，afterschool是3000多。这个是resident的价格，

本人过去曾经差点信了基督教，但是后来认真阅读和思考圣经之后，最终没有信。
我还有一点点考据癖，经常会考证一下我阅读到的东西。除了圣经里面那些乱七八糟的
东西之外，还有一点令我十分厌恶的东西：很多基督教的宣传资料上面充斥着各种各样
的谎言。
最近读到这样一段话：“四十年代初季，晏阳初先生与科学巨人爱因斯坦、动画艺术大
师狄斯尼(米老鼠唐老鸭艺术形象创制者)等人杰一起，同被美洲学界推选为‘对人类发
展做出革命性贡献的世界十大伟人’。他真正做到了‘知行合一’，当为中国人所知晓
，并引以为豪。”（一个朋友转自《读书》90（9）总138期，舒芜的文章《免于愚昧无

看了这一段话，我当时有点吃惊。我中华同胞能与爱因斯坦并列为“十大伟人”，这是
