如果不是,如何用EDTV连接模拟信号的cable?是否有专门的转换器?如果有,名字是啥?

Without going into too much of TV/Video, it seems you need at least an EDTV
nowadays. Contrary to the conclusion drew in that article, I would think an
HDTV would be a better buy, due to the FCC regulations on TV channels and TV
manufactorers. |

(1) plazma的对比度和颜色,dark black是没的说,绝对比LCD好.但是对于现在的节目来
说,还是LCD比较好,因为电视上有太多480i,480p,4:3的节目.用plazma看,如果不做水平
拉伸,就有可能burn in.拉伸看着难受,多了个顾虑.
(2) 1920x1080意义不算非常大,当然看1080i的节目,还是要比其他的好.但是如果电视
不大也就无所谓了.我觉得hd-DVD和blue-ray DVD的制式之争得过几年才平息.所以短期
内没什么节目可以充分利用1920x1080.就算你买了hd-dvd,你也找不到足够的片子.除非
打游戏,另当别论.
(3) native resolution只是一方面,老的模拟的电视效果那么好,只有480i.颜色数目,
对比度,scaler的性能都要综合考虑.所以不要买太便宜的电视.便宜的电视用的
processor太差.好的scaler非常重要,如果你经常看STV,DTV(480i),EDTV(480p)的节目.
(4) ATSC和QAM tuner,ASTC是用来收 off-the-air信号,QAM是cable |

对于用有线电视（即cable）的没有影响
cable上面应该是同时有模拟信号和数字信号
我不大明白你的第一句话
因为现在买的HDTV也能连cable看模拟信号，只不过图像是插值的，质量很差而已 |

composite是普通RCA接口，黄色图像，红白声音
component红白声音，红蓝绿视频，一般最高支持1080i
这些都是analog信号，你要什么？

Panasonic TC-P50VT25 3D plasma (highest rated TV on CNet) is $1,799 - $600
rebate = $1,199. I saw this in San Francisco today, and there's one left -
the display model so I'll pass. They did a search for me and there are 4 in
North Fresno. You have to pay sales tax and the CA waste fee, but Costco's
2 year warranty helps soften the blow.
Best to check with your local Costco or have them do a search to see if
there are any in your area.

the 50" Panasonic Viera S30 Plasma for $730 - $100 instant rebate = $630
