if it was just snow flakes, they are wiped off easily, nothing stays. the
only white stuff sticks to the windshield is the salty water that get dried
out after spreading by the windshield wiper.
the salty water may come from the splash made by snow tires in front of you,
or next to you, even from your previous trip. the droplets are clear, until
you spread it and dry out the water, the only thing left is the white salt

最近回去的人的情况，如云老师所说，绝大多数都有2cns，如果只有一篇cns，那基本
上还有>2的子刊。这个不仅仅局限于胖老师经常说的结构生物学，而是所有方向都基本
如此。
当然这些新回去的绝大部分都是千青（有些不是的是因为回去那一年千青还没开始）。
网页上的Title有的是教授，有的是研究员，估计当时还没有统一。但校内一律都是副
教授，也就是相当于这边的AP。我还特地打听了一下，国内的TT制度好像没有Tenured
Associate这一档，清华5年考核通过了就是正经的full professor。
有些老师看不上国内的科研，我就仅列出两位回国后的publication，咱就不说颜宁等
这种Early T的个例了。说两个没太有名气的，还没有评上T的，各位老师可以参考一下
，看看自己有没有别人这么productive。

接着问我能接受的最低年薪。我说现在还没有真正的面试，也不适合谈薪资，而且我对
这个也是比较灵活的。
结果这个SB猎头不依不饶，说你一定要说个数，我觉得合适了，就安排下一步面试。
我没有回答这个问题，所以这个SB说，你好好考虑一下，想通了给我打电话。莫名其妙
的。
大家说这种SB猎头究竟要做什么？是压低雇员公司来通过非法渠道弄绿卡吗？

证。等待期间，我听到有人和工作人员大吵关于公证的事情，后来没有公证也给那人办
了。还有个人没什么材料，说下次要注意，也给办了。去办事的基本都是当地人，像我
们跑这么老远的估计极少。

It worked to some degree after I cleaned the drum using ethyl alcohol, but
it still has lines/fuzzy prints. I can even see the residual droplet shape (

发帖数: 1498 | 39 DO vs. linode的讨论最近几年比较多，板上有没有人有实际的运行经验？分享下最近两
周的经验。
鄙人的应用相对简单，接收传感器网络的数据，验证然后存储到数据库中。验证比较费
CPU，运算量大概占1/3. 数据量很小，网络不是瓶颈。大规模部署之后disk高频读写可
能会有问题。小规模的实验包括5个终端带50个传感器。数据量6KB每分钟，最高并发10
.
部署到linode的那个1Core 1G Ram的node上之后，小规模运行之后发现大概0.1%的HTTP
post request没有被成功处理。因为以前开发过程中运行在digital ocean的那个最便
宜的1core 512M ram的droplet上一直没有出过问题，这两周做trouble shooting，就顺
便比较了一下DO和linode在高并发时候的性能。
digital ocean 和linode 用的都是1 core ，1G Ram， 服务器一个在Fremont CA，另一
个在san Francisco CA，我从东湾通过comcast宽带接入。
