I pushed all the buttons and non of them worked. I called my friends
downstairs and they pushed the buttons outside. Nothing worked either. I had
to finally push the emergency call button.
Funny thing was when I explained my situation, first thing she said was to
ask if I felt Okay. She then sent someone to rescue me. 20 min later, a
service guy came and opened the door from outside and showd the broken

empire state building view. I could take the shuttle bus to PATH from
downstairs. Its $1 each way and 2 mins to the train station, but I walk most
of the time.
Hoboken has a small town feel, of which I enjoy very much. Newport feels a
lot more like being in an office commercial district, doesn't feel like home
.
Tax is a little cheaper in Hoboken though. A little under $7K a year for my

我径直走过长长的走廊,打算到downstairs的小卖部给自己买个egg sandwich,心里
默念着刚才Grace教我说的英文 – bacon with melted cheese on top of it.我又
下意识的念了两遍,生怕order的时候舌头打不过转,会embarrassing.要知道对于
我这个吃川菜长大的女孩子来说,再怎么样的西式美味也比不上成都的麻婆豆腐,红星兔丁
,甚至于状元街的露天麻辣烫,那些许多诸如此类让人舌头发麻头脑发晕的食
物,那可才叫人间美味.只是实在不好负了Grace一番盛情说楼下的Bacon Sandwich
非常的yummy.
Cafeteria里有很多人,大多都是Melville这附近居住的受过教育的中产阶级.也许因为是
在长岛,在这幢叫One Greenway Plaza的大楼里三个月来我还没看到过一个
亚洲人,大部份都是穿着保守职业装的中年白人男女,或一个人边看报纸边急急的吃
早餐,或两个人小声的在说话.

I normally get up at 7:55, and sit inside the office at 8:00.
