这几天来，媒体有许多报导，在六月十六日，目击者见到莹颖在塞勒姆（Salem)小镇。
从父母和亲人的角度出发，只要有一线希望，都不会放弃的。所以家人和当地的热心朋
友前往小镇了解，是不应该被质疑的。况且，在社交媒体中早就有发布，无论是控方还
是辩方律师都会用之作为证据或反证据(proof and disproof)的，同家人和华协朋友去
与不去小镇对案件的审判是不会有什么影响的。
我们走访了小镇，和当地的警察和侦探建立了联系，他们对我们提出的要求，相当重视
，这两天来翻看了录像视频，终于在当地银行的视频上看到了被认为是莹颖的女孩。尽
管视频是五月十九目的（还在找六月十六日的），主要的两位目击者认为六月十六日的
女孩和五月十九的是同一个人。而UIUC莹颖同事证明了莹颖那天也和同事在一起。侦探
和特别警察把这个视频送来我们香槟，家人已经看了，这女孩不是莹颖。可能是有些相
似而导致美国人的误认。这样的话，原来的小镇目击者看见莹颖的传说已基本被否定。
我们已把情况向警局反映了。那侦探也和FBI谈过了。我们非常感谢塞勒姆警方的帮助。

But IMHO, "随机变异" is an assumption for the theory so it and doesn't need
proof or disproof, regardless how low the probability is. |

As far as Christian belief is concerned, the only book that shall be taken
seriously is the Bible. Any claim deviates from the Bible shall be seriously
scrutinized.
As to scientific research, anyone is entiled to believe in any scientific
hypothesis, and their position shall be evaluated thru scientific methods if
possible. If not, it is not in the realm of science.
Also a question to you, a bunch of atheists take "evolution theory" as the "

review process because he is given chance to disproof the reply. My old boss
' paper got challenged and literally took two years and additional data and
multiple pee-reviewers to have the editor to reject the reply. However,
most of you don't get to see the process unless you are involved. |

发帖数: 73 | 20 前两天,在系里图书室转悠.眼前一亮,忽然看到一个似曾熟悉的杂志"ALGEBRAS, GROUPS
AND GEOMETRIES". 想了半天,在哪里见过这个名字.后来终于记得,国内的著名的割菜
家Chunxuan Jiang的大作曾发表在这个杂志上.
闲来无事,就找到几年前的装订过的杂志,还真有其的好几篇文章.文章的特点就是一个
定里接着一个定理,证明往往是引用自己的另一篇文献.其中有一篇是disproof黎曼猜想
的.其实他第一个公式就是错的,或者说他根本连Riemann zeta函数的定义都不没有弄清
楚.我相信他永远不会明白\zeta(0)=-1/2这件事!(因为从他的公式推出=0).或者说他推
翻的黎曼猜想和数学界公认的那个黎曼猜想不是一回事,呵呵.
看看了编委,基本上还是正儿八经的大学教授,顺便翻番,还发现上面还有很多其他的中
国大学老师的文章;我以前听说过的人有Meng daoji(Nankai知道他写过一本好像是李群
的书), Guo yuqi(好像是国内唯一的半群博导?).... 当然他们的文章未必有错!
我的疑问是:
这杂志上面的文章数学界承认吗? 有人引用吗? |

Then I am wondering if the following is true:
E[X|G] = E[X|sigma{G,H}], where sigma{G,H} is the sigma subfield generated
by G and H.
I think the eqaulity above is true because X and H are independent, and
hence H provides no information when estimating X. But could anyone provide
a formal proof or disproof? Thanks. |
