我就不明白人家都明明注释了为什么还说抄袭？这个整个就是个闹剧。

必须是自己的理解，表达出来。
如果句式一样，某些个别词替换成近义词，算抄袭。
有时候虽然句式不一样，但是发现只是前后换了顺序，比如a do b变成 b is done by
a.也算抄袭。
你上课的时候，老师应该给你解释清楚。
不过话说回来了。美国也不是那么严格，大部分没事，没人为了一句话去折腾。但是如
果被抓，标准是很严的。确实有的教授因为以前的文章或是毕业论文被对家搞了，因此
取消博士学位，结果教授也做不成的。
，但是这里不存在dishonesty的问题。明明的告诉你了，这个是别人的东西我引用，怎
么叫dishonesty? 这个才是关键。水平差大家并不关心。还什么“史上最严重”。纯粹

matters. I have said this: you don't need reputation to fight dishonesty,
all you need is evidence.
There is the issue of proportion. Everyone is imperfect some way or other.
You can't just nitpick someone ('s wife?) with a magnify glass and declare
him moral bankruptcy once you find imperfection no matter how trivial it is.

，他就submit了一份，写得有模有样的“我在这个练习中充当了xxx角色”云云，我给
了个0分，note说“你并没有参加这个课堂练习”。他与了一封email给我，无名无姓地
称我为“ma'am”，说他私人的事特多，知道自已miss了很多课，想做extra work来
make up。又说他那次课的确没来上但没法afford 0分，云云。我forward给系主任，问
她有什么看法。她说，这明显是academic dishonesty，让我必须上报。我本来是想问
下要不要给他机会补功课的，这下变成了一个permanent academic dishonesty mark，
虽然还是给0分。这事拖了几周，昨天sanction才下来。这学生发给我一封怒气冲冲的
信，说我不是人。说他以为这事过去了，结果也没有预警告诉他可能的结果。被人骂不
是人，搞得我心里不舒服了很久。

发帖数: 981 | 16 你才乱说呢. 我 TA 捉住我的一个本科生, 只是有两句话直接从一篇文章的
abstract 上原封不动的抄下来, cite 了文章, 但是没有加引号, 最后就是
被判的 XF.
当时那还是一个 group paper, 因为 group 里有个学生很刺头, 跟我的 TA
上课发生过冲突, 她就格外留意了一下他们的 paper, 结果最后委员会逐个
谈话, 锁定在另外一个学生身上, 给了 XF. 我自己从来没有上报过, 不过
TA要报, 我当老师的总不能拦着.
当然, 我说的这些例子的前提是老师有义务把 academic dishonesty 的定义
传达的很清楚. 我 syllabus 有一大段都是关于这方面, 清清楚楚地定义什么
叫 cheating, 什么叫 plagiarism, 什么叫 collusion, 都包括什么样的行为,
我的同事平常上课也再三强调, 所以真报上去, student honor council 一判
一个准.
楼主唯一可以翻案的希望就是看看老师的 syllabus, 有没有关于academic

硕士论文是学术论文，就要遵守学术标准，这个标准有各个学校制定，跟你觉得硕士论
文有用没用无关。这个标准在不同学科不同学校可能会有所不同，但是不管按照哪一个
标准，刘菊花这样的文章都是抄袭。
你说到刘菊花的硕士论文相当于抄作业，抄作业被开除的事情在美国少见吗？

申请时号称MIT本科在读
事实是Bowdoin College in Maine from 2005-07， 还 suspended for academic

成绩单明显是假的，据说他的MIT成绩单是letter的，但MIT给score （？）
号称perfect SAT score 1600

I hereby urge you to vote "NO" on SCA-5! Why does anyone need to amend this
clause "The state shall not discriminate against, or grant preferential
treatment to, any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color,
ethnicity, or national origin in the operation of public employment, public
education, or public contracting." and says amending it will not result in

从我做起, 从现在做起! 我们还来得及反对SCA5. 目前, 加州众议院的80席中, 有55席
民主党, 25席共和党. 对这个法案SCA5的支持是党派分票, 所以我们只需要保证 2个以
上民主党议员勇敢地站出来, 投票反对, 我们就可以让法案胎死腹中. 现在我们可以做
的是写信给代表我们选区的加州众议员, 去他们的网站给他们写.
