mini-chain. I went here for years as a youth in Englewood. Baumgarts
used to be an old-fashioned ice cream shop which served a great chicken
salad sandwich and phenomenal shakes and egg creams. And it still does...but
it is no longer an American comfort food establishment. It is an eclectic
hot mess of Asian dishes, sushi and sushi style appetizers, and a few

主校园附近有一家希腊馆子不错，不是在草坪对面central st 南面那家Olympia Cafe
，在校园东面，过了Girard，central 北边。羊排很好，还有一道茄子做的菜也很好，
记不住名字了
Kellys Brewery， 啤酒馆。在central和Wellesley的西南角上。一到周五下午四五点
，基本上是座无虚席。他家自酿的啤酒很好。尤其是那种Black Bitter，可能喝惯了淡
啤酒的朋友看上去会望而生畏。但是味道真的很好。他家的蜡鸡翅和Onion Rings下酒
都很好。服务生大多是UNM的本科生，打工挣生活费。当初在的时候基本上是留３０％
的小费。
Satellite Coffee，他家的蛋糕味道很好。没有美国人蛋羔那种甜得发腻的味道。朋友
推荐后家里人的生日蛋糕就一直是在那里买。

边聊边走慢慢逛到了66街的AMC loews，看到滚屏的广告按耐不住又去买了第二天早
场11点的海盗3，想在附近的麦当劳吃个Shrek版Mcflurry，却被告知既没有ice cream
也没有milk shake了，纽约夜生活刚开始呢，大叔就打烊了？难不成也赶着去醉意阑珊
。只好去papaya买了两杯木瓜汁，至少健康。
然后各自回家睡觉，第二天10点50赶到了电影院。
说实在的，对海盗这样的片不甚感冒，场面是宏大，可人物杂口音重还一个个画着
烟熏妆，中间差点睡着了，blush~好不容易完了这个，Po说要回去了，我却又开始了3
点钟的Waitress: 在小镇上一家pie diner店工作的女招待Jenna，lg是典型wsn，多疑
自私小心眼且有暴力倾向，动不动就是我挣的钱我买的房子我养着你你是我的全部我的
唯一，不堪忍受的Jenna偷偷攒钱想去参加pie-baking contest然后拿了奖金远走高飞
，小金库却被lg发现，而且此时发现怀了身孕，生活仿佛更加灰暗。去做检查时碰到了
刚从康州过去的医生Dr. Pomatter, 两个都结了婚的人陷 |

且它的山羊肉和烤饼一般，还不如little neck 的sentoor Indian buffet,位于little
neck pkwy at Union turnpike, smaller but better,大家有机会去试试。 |

Chicken/lamb over rice,不错， 如果在 midtown, 去 53/6 街口，那队从早到晚都那
么长； COSI的面包很不错，好像是希腊的；韩国的豆腐，法拉盛 Roosevelt Macy's

连去了catskill两年，今年我去了Lake George，上面的vacation house好像都要租一个星期，所以就住在hotel里面。星期六出发到那里checkin已经2点多了，去Lake George Village那里逛逛一下，很热闹的地方，很多商店和餐馆，
不过我们还是在湖边来来回回走了好多次，后来无聊的厉害，就和朋友一起去买鱼竿，钓到大概10点空手而回。
第二天早上7点起来，然后开车去上游的一个地方租船，8点到那里结果已经大排长龙了，人家6点就到了。排到我们已经只有一艘4个人的小船，郁闷。还好找到附近的一家还有大船，虽然贵很多但也没办法。订好10点出发，结果我那不靠谱的哥们到
11点才到。在湖上待了一天，游泳，还钓到3只鱼。晚上在湖边看烟花。度过很美好的一天。
星期一早上找了个diner，搞定早餐，然后向woodbury出发。把车停好，刚下车就被热浪熏的想马上开车走人。看了guess，没有啥好买的就直奔fcuk，买了条slim的jeans，便宜又很合身。后来去kenneth cole把一身行头都买了。一直到5
点多才打道回府。 |

腾飞的宫廷饭店（Palace Diner）将于12月30日后正式关闭。来自中国大陆的投资者将
在原址兴建豪华中餐馆，打造亚洲美食天堂。
面对即将关闭的宫廷饭店，很多老食客依依不舍，这个餐馆从1977年营业至今，见
证了法拉盛的经济腾飞，陪伴着这个移民社区发展的每一步。近年来该饭店更成为法拉
盛政治文化的交流中心，不少政界人士或文化团体在此聚会，宫廷饭店的知名度几乎家
喻户晓。
据了解，宫廷饭店自上世纪七十年代以来始终以贴心服务，良好就餐氛围，精致多
样的菜色和便利的交通赢得民众好评和明星政客们的青睐。店主乔治·曼茨蔻斯（
George Mantzikos）来自希腊科林斯（Corinth Greece），有着45年的希腊料理经验。
对于饭店关闭，曼茨蔻斯也感到失落和伤感。
乔治表示，几十年来这里的食客都是他的好友和忠实顾客。有位老顾客28年来一直

table next to the window so you can have the breathtaking Manhattan view.
After the dinner, you can also take a walk(either short or long walk depends

； 在去年第四季度， 我就开始增持康州保险公司Hartford Financial的股票， 累计
达到23万美金。那9-10万美金只是我的原始资本积累的一部分， 都是我给客人提供餐
饮服务一块一块赚的小费， 每一块都是我用汗水和原本应该优异的GPA换来的。我承认
