发帖数: 20 | 1 近段时间，software engineer 的Agile 趋势如火如荼。 请教一下，devlops （中文
叫运维开发工程师）， 这个分支是不是就是以前的operation, 做code deployment 之
类的。这个职位的工作会不会特别的吃力不讨好，on call 24小时？ －－－ 我知道
devops 应该是个concept, 不是一个职位。可是事实是，很多公司把devops 当成一个
职位来招人，我就被招成了这个职位。类似的职业比如，google 的 site reliability
engineer 等等。我从周围同学中都没有找到devops相关的信息，从网上的信息来看，
概括看来，这个软件工程分支的特点就是： 女生特别少，code不多，但是要会写
scripting，在云计算的大潮下，会越来越重要（？这点我不太确定，想听听大家在实
际工作中对devops的看法）。
我现在有几个担心。
1. 从学校做project的经历来看，我觉得当一个工作环境中男女比例过于偏差，作为一
个女生，挺不舒服的。我挺害怕在devops这个分支里，一大群全是男工程师，会不会非

1）devops/sre 从事的人一搬年龄不少，大都没头发。
2）资薪比同级同机构SWE高一点，可能是现在供求失衡影响。
3）职位数量比SWE少，大概10:1 比例，主要是production 有一定程度大才正规化，初
创企业不会积极投入。
4）现在比较缺人，因招人门槛也不低，以及new grad大都不愿投身。
5）技术比较偏重ops和救灾经验，能买能用就不会开发。
6）职业发展主要看互联网和手机应用前景，要是不景气，SWE/SRE/Devops工作也一样
难找。
7）现在主流的devops渐渐将借日的dba, sysadmin, network eng，开发工具，SDET，
跟Infrastructure 运维归立于一身，像Google 的 SRE onsite 最少要六面，怕终生学
习的
最好还敬而远之！ |

这些
supervisor用的人比较多，不过这个东西的web gui有个bug，在reverse proxy下对
https支持很烂，不知道多少年的老代码了，只能在Apache/Nginx这里加规则来fix
cron一般没必要替换，倒是有个APScheduler。*nix不可避免要bash，纯Python DevOps

发帖数: 1 | 35 其实我觉得干什么活倒无所谓，对我来说，工作只要能：1.收入是CS平均水平; 2.找工
作难度是CS平均水平; 3. 工作舒适程度是CS平均水平; 我就比较满意了。毕竟就是份
养家糊口的job而已，我也没有什么远大的志向。目前主要还是怕devops和以前DBA什么
的似的，过几年就衰退了;或者像国内的运维给人的印象那样，没什么钱还累，就比较
不好了。
另外，据说google的SRE地位还是非常高的，就是不知道微软SRE怎么样。 |

发帖数: 267 | 36 再补充第四点，由于要结合从前五到六个刚位于一身，机构职位又比SWE少 （10比一）
，那怕是已上市的也不能随便招人，小公司就更不能容忍请false positive，除非像
MAGFU大得可以有条件由老人带new grad，没经验的很难拿offer，不像一般硅工转码、
大妈待家数年靠刷题华丽登场、什么女名模网上自学等等。
另外由devops转SWE基本是mission impossible，不是能力问题，是你愿减薪吗？ |

长, 刚入门的时候容易被别人当作QA，系统管理员什么的。其实我倒挺喜欢ops的，电
脑上颠来倒去装过很多操作系统，linux玩得比较6，没事也爱抓个包分析下，就是不太
了解有没有足够的能力和兴趣把这个当作终身的职业，而且感觉算法题都白刷了。。 |

AWS 上大量 EC2 instance 的配置和monitoring), 主要需要用熟哪些工具?
我研究了下, 关于auto deploy/cfg 的工具, 选择有 SaltStack 和 Ansible.
据说是 Ansible 更简单, 跑在 ssh connection 上, 而且Vagrant 官方支持.
SaltStack 需要安装 client 到被管理机器上, 而且 SaltStack 反馈速度更快, 跑在
ZeroMQ connection 上.
不知道 Zeromq 这种东西靠谱不, SaltStack+Zeromq 到底坑多不多?
看 SaltStack 官网, 现在也有 Salt Air 了, 也可以模拟 Ansible 那种 ssh style,
被管理的机器只要能被 ssh 就行.
python 用来监控和管理 process 的最好工具是什么? supervisord?
还有, 可以用 python 的某些个 module/lib 来完全代替linux... 阅读全帖 |
