我开车在纽约被追尾，后坐是我岳母。我的保险公司geico 负责医疗cost。我岳母去了
一次骨科，医生让拍mri，然后看了说没什么事。mri 帐单3300，今天突然寄给了我，
我打电话给geico,说是他们早就denied. 所以现在医院找我们bill.
我们应该怎么办？几个问题。
1. 像这种车祸Liability, 医院的bill 被insurance company denied, 他们可以bill
patient?
2. 我应该怎么和insurance company argue.geico close 这个case 的时候没有说有
denied service. 也没给我们任何document说明为什么defnial
3. 万一不行，和医院可以要discount? 今天使者问了一下，billing department 只肯
分期付款，不肯discount.

太太I-94已过期，H1从去年6月份开始normal processing，后来追加PP 被RFE，1月末
reply RFE，今天被deny。我自己H1 transfer 还在pending，没有pp， 140 approved。
我太太要立马离境吗？有什么办法可以待在这里把孩子生下来？
回去了再回来，可以办H4或者H4 EAD吗？我的H1 transfer还在pending
待会跟律师开会，继续待在现在的公司，公司一般会有什么样的办法？refiling？

巧的是，太太昨天收到了一个新公司offer，去新公司签证怎么办？能不能办？

因为律师的错误，至少算是他们的解释和USCIS的解释不一样。开始要求REF的，回复以

发现原因可能是公司名称和税号不符，果然，向公司verify后发现，公司向irs申请税
号是用的名字是AAA，而目前公司的名称是the AAA （申请表上填的公司名称），地址
也改了，律师说唯一的办法是让公司和irs联系， update信息，请问各位是不是这是唯
一的解决办法啊？还有什么其他办法吗？12月底就递上申请了，到现在这个结果。公司
就我一个h1b，已经为h1b的事儿和公司折腾好久了，实在不想再麻烦公司了。 |

我询问了我们学校的International student adviser，他说最大的可能是我提前了92
天申请，而USCIS要求的申请最早时间是提前90天。苦恼！！我的Completion date是5
月31日，但是六月30之前我一定要拿到OPT EAD Card，不知道大家有什么建议啊。

classification you are requesting in the past 7 years?”
我应该选Yes还是No？
2.在Part 4, Question 9，“Have you ever previously filed a non immigration
petition for the beneficiary?”

因为有file pending 而获得的延期，因为case 被denied，而消失了。
所以你最好不要工作了，因为OPT已经过期，又没有OPT extension。
基本上只能考虑not-for-profit的H1-B了。
另外完成了OPT所以有2个月的grace period呆在美国，准备回国（但是不能工作） |

我只是想把自己的经历写下来，希望对类似遭遇的同学有帮助。
我是STEM 专业，在一个nonprofit 的机构工作，OPT EAD 在2016年4月23日过期，我在
2015年12月14日提交了OPT extension 的延期，于是悲剧从这一天就开始了。 USCIS
规定不能在EAD过期的120天之前申请，我提交那天是EAD过期日之前的131天。
在提交申请的时候，我询问过学校的international office 需要准备什么材料，学校
的DSO 没有提醒过120天这个时间窗口，另外我自己也确实不知道 (怪自己功课没做足)
， 另外我们学校的很多朋友也不知道120天这个时间窗口限制，只是他们没有遇到过这
个问题。（所以学校的international office 确实也不太认真，至少没有在120天时间
窗口这个事情上对学生做好功课）。再次一定要提醒大家注意这个问题： 只能在EAD过
期前的120天之内申请，提前1天都不行！！！

四月份申请的，七月收到拒信，信上的理由是不能用同一个学位申请两次OPT。但是我
上一次申请用的是MS学位，现在用的是PhD学位，完全符合要求，莫名其妙被拒了。拒
信上说可以申请Motion to Reopen，学校国际学生办公室帮我一起弄了申请，然后发现
SEVIS系统里面我原本的MS学位变成了PhD。。。。申请的时候附上了之前的I20和成绩
单什么的，第一次申请OPT的时候只有MS学位。
Reopen的申请是8月十号收到的，看起来遥遥无期。因为有了offer我去申请加急但是失
败了。。。律师建议我用Ombudsman或者找congressman，USCIS客服建议我去field

were paroled into the U.S. on 07/10/2009 you were no longer in H1B status.

支持材料都准备好了，有cover letter，公司supporting letter，offer letter，
current job termination letter，bank statement。请问下一步怎么办？
1. 继续打电话加急？有人说要收到结果多少（8？）天后才能第二次电话加急。
2. 找议员，congressman？感觉好慢，要2-3周。
3. 直接fax材料过去？网上的fax number管用吗？
4. email材料过去？直接回复那个通知结果的email？
5. 邮寄材料过去？不过其他办法不行，只有这个稍微快点。

time, USCIS generally makes the decision of intent to deny for the reason
that your supporting evidence was not received. That's why I wrote the
article urge people never to waive the signature when sending material to
USCIS.
On the I-140 instruction, USCIS says, the supporting documents should be
received within seven business days otherwise, the case may be denied. |
