When Trump says "our African-American communities are absolutely in the
worst shape they've ever been in before. Ever, ever ever," he certainly is
not speaking to blacks, who know that our country has a long way to go
before we eradicate racism -- but also know that things were far, far worse
under slavery and Jim Crow.

Man complains to noisy black neighbor, makes national news

The Washington Post felt it was headline news when a man living in an
apartment building complained to his neighbor about noise late at night:
"It is extremely rude and inconsiderate to scream and stomp around your
apartment until almost 2 a.m.," the letter said. "A complaint has been
submitted to the management. Next time this will go straight to the police.
