发帖数: 1430 | 4 我觉着加强边境安全还是有很多事情可做的，比如修建更多的隔离墙，派遣国民警卫队
这样的准军事部队去边境协助DHS实施移民法，允许地方的警力执行联邦移民法规和协
助DHS的官员执行联邦移民法规，以及要求所有雇主参加E-Verify等等。都可以很好的
加强边境安全。尽管不可能100%消除illegal immigration, 但是可以很大程度上改善。
另外，我觉着如果比较STEM和recapture来说，我觉着STEM更加符合Republican的胃口
，如果能把这个STEM的条款加入Republican支持的job creation的法案就好办了。对于
job creation, 共和党是全力支持的。
我觉着共和党反对的是非法移民以及合法移民中的unskilled worker. 对于合法移民中的高科技移民他们还是很支持的。 |

第二次在温哥华返签，H1B 2016年12月renew 3年。
7月10日早上11点，过程大概1个半小时，问了我做什么工作， 什么时候开始我的工作
生涯，雇主是谁，谁，干什么， 我主要干什么， 我们的客户是谁，谁给我申请的绿卡
。拿的白条，因为所以其他人都拿的黄条，我上次也拿的黄条，所以就问是不是过了？
签证官说过了。回来刷状态，先是administration processing, 7月11日变成
application received 然后case creation changed from 7/4 to 7/6,7/12早上又变
成administration processing, creation date is still 7/6,7/12下午两点变成
issued. |

少数群体维护权益，靠自身的力量根本无法跟主流对抗。只有靠推广价值理念潜移默化
大众而争取支持。黑人争取权益如此，同性恋也是如此。光靠这个版上叫嚷的自身团结
显示力量基本上结果都是螳臂当车。
但是码工的问题是，只关注利字而缺乏理念，就算提到理念也只在自身权益受到损害的
时候才想起来。转过头又为了自己的利去践踏这些理念。就算抗争的时候，看看本版这
两天的讨论也都是围绕着利而少有上升到理念高度。这样在自己成为少数，利益受到侵犯
的时候根本争取不到其他群体的支持。就算在自身内部，也是因利而聚，无利而散。缺
乏理念的群体自身就会是一盘散沙，在外疏离了所有本来可以争取支持的对象，最后结
果可想而知。

你理解的有问题，如果是salary 但是职责不符合要求，例如一个年薪8万刷马桶的。。
。那么这哥们只要工作超过40小时，超时工资就要按 80,000/52/40= 38.46 (基础工资
）*1.5 = $57.69 支付。
在这里，salary 与否和他exempt是无关的。
反过来，如果一个快餐店manager 收入只有$420/周，但他的职责完全符合要求，他也
不是exempt的。 如果他工作超过40小时每周，也要被支付超时工资。
