Military and aviation officials say they don't know who may have
launched a mysterious object spotted in the sky late Monday off the
Southern California coast, but said that whatever the projectile was, it
did not pose a threat to national security.

It is called contrail. It consists of ice, tiny particles
left over from the combustion of fuel.
飞机飞行高度一般在12km左右，大气温度为220K左右，就是零下五十度左右。
这时候排点尾气出来，你说会怎么样，立马凝结啊。
不断增加的contrail会像二氧化碳一样吸收地表的红外辐射然后在辐射回地表，
对气候影响深远。
去年还是前年Science or Nature上有一篇brief communication, 讲在911过后
美国领空禁飞三天，contrail都没了，地表温度立刻比多年平均值变化了很多，在2sigma
还是3sigma以外的。

目前看J家的价格很高啊……我始终不明白J家contrail和它硬件metafabric的产品定位
. contrail单独作为一个产品无可厚非，但是和硬件fabric一起卖就不知所云了。 |

看起来VTS只是个框架，低层实现还可以是bgp evpn？因为cisco文档在ACI内部实现的

何必呢？何苦呢？工业被学院派攻陷了，garner发个狗屁不通的文章大家都真以为SaaS

发帖数: 858 | 24 对的， aci本质上和J的解决方案一样，都是vxlan加bgp evpn，实现细节上有些不同。
aci实际上把部分设计内容包装进去了，比较适合企业用户不需要太多底层细节。
j的话基本都要自己设计诸如ASN，link IP等等，contrail基本是个纯overlay解决方案
，还是不放心全部网络feature都跑在hypervisor上。 |

漫长的rfq之后我们选择了Aci基于：
1. 在中小型dc情况下思科竟然有了价格优势，很大部分得益于免费的avs
2. 服务器小组比较喜欢aci的多用户模式 contrail比较专注于网路这一块 多用户要靠
高层orchestration.
3. 网路underlay这块J要在mx上做集中路由 感觉不如思科Symmetrical irb 好看 性能
方面各说各的 都不相信不做参考
4 aci的service chaining做得好些 j的解决方案还主要靠网工调路由...
实在不满j software vtep uses GRE while hardware vtep uses vxlan.
