optimize your ultimate objective in certain scenarios. The simplest example

少一点点的钱。家务全包，态度恭顺，早起晚睡把一家伺候好了。家里男人还要脾气大
，这叫气派。我老公刚跟我结婚的时候说，他理想的妻子就是我婆婆这样的，其实就是
一带薪住家保姆，还对带的薪水有严格要求。在不能耽误家里的任何事情的constrain
下maximum 挣钱并且最好以他的薪水为上线。我婆婆真是这样的人，她自己娘家的人都
不管的，根深蒂固地认为自己是夫家的人。根深蒂固地认为女人生来就是是伺候夫家且
恭顺的。不过她们那时候都是几十年前中国大锅饭，不存在那么多work life balance
的问题吧，大家薪水也都差不多。
我们家我干家务多。抱怨的却是老公，要做主的也是他。没办法，这个东西是他家传下
来的。我也不那么怪他了。他比起他家那套模式还是强多了，乱发脾气比刚结婚有明显

optimization algorithm 作类比，是不是就是在以下几大块之间的平衡：
1. Fundamental Perception：
比如，小娃的 spatial perception / linguistic perception？
2. Inner Drive：
比如，兴趣培养？
3. Self management / Brain executive function：
比如，娃版自我时间/目标管理？
4. Foundation knowledge-concept tree / foundation skill ：
比如，娃版 foundation of mathematics / reading comprehension
/ high order thinking skill？
6. Non-routine work / play the middle game like a magician：
太玄妙，摸不着，sigh。。。有识之士来说两句。

我和宝爸会好好斟酌，再看看宝宝一月上daycare的情况，再看一些儿童发展，育儿方
面的书籍， 加深对那么大宝宝的共性和我家宝宝个性的了解, 到时候再作最后的决定
。知道两个方案都不好，但现在我们的条件只能作constrained optimization了。
再请教大家一个问题：
如果一岁多的宝宝虽然一直去同一个Ｄａｙｃａｒｅ，但中间暑假离开３，４个月，再
回去的时候，宝宝还记得那是她原来呆过的地方吗？还是她会觉得又到了一个新的环境
，要重新适应？ |

成constrained optimization，那Y_i,j就作为目标函数好了。但是作出确切的解还是
要a_j, b_i,j和c_i,j的参数值，所以regression analysis还是第一步。

数字男说，这就是个 constrained optimization 问题，就看值不值。。。
对于俺等胸无大志的父母。。。花半小时口水能解决的问题，基本不值得去吼。。。在
达到学校基本要求的情况下，也不值得为了 repetitive training 人肉 zombie 计算
器/击弦机，而去吼娃。。。慎怒吼，因为是 constraint。。。
当然，以上是对于俺等胸无大志型扑通蛙家长而言。。。对于为人类未来做贡献的天才

鲨鱼。。。
用马工的说法，大部分 constrained optimization algorithm，
基本都是 directive force 远大于 chaotic force 的。（当然，
不要把所有现实世界里的 optimization algorithms 都理解为像
zombie 那样简单重复的小学计算题。。。就是了）。
实际上 mean reverting 的最大力量，我觉得反而是有着诸多幻想
且不切实际的推妈，热衷于 repetitive training，不懂得顺其自然
顺水推舟的道理，把娃主动推成 mean reverting 的。。。俗话说，
被推傻。。。人家 mother nature 早就说了，尼玛逆水推舟的事也
敢去干？尼玛不把 mother nature 放眼里，那能有好果子吃么？当然，
个别运气好到赌场中奖的，另说。。。 |

那要么是 2^1 和 3^1，要么是 2^(-1) 和 3^(-1)，这两玩意儿
联动的问题要解决。
这个可能用 constrained bi-partition algorithm 可能可以
解决，时空复杂性和代码复杂度可能比我前面的对付 8 的办法
来得好。。。有时候，规模的变化可能导致算法的质变。。。 |

不过从为人父母角度来看，我们问问自己什么是真正的爱孩子？
你前面提到一个办法是，如果孩子选了一个你不认同的专业，就让孩子自己交学费，好
像也应者云集。你要是从投资的角度来看也无可厚非--你不想他走一条高风险的路，所
以干脆financially constrained他，让他按照你拥有的信息和偏好来选择，你当然可
以说是为他好。
但是养孩子不是为了投资吧？而是因为爱她为他好，对吧？那么，有没有一种其它为他
好的方式呢？或者说除了帮他规避风险，能不能帮他take the risk and face the
consequence, even when the majority thinks this is crazy? 我有时甚至觉得，能
做到这一点的，才是父母之与其他人的本质不同。当然，要是父母有能力给孩子做个
safe net，那就更加完美了。
谁知道呢，我们都生活在这个剧烈变动的时代，也许你在当下拥有的信息集合下作出的
最优选择，完全不适用于未来呢？想想20年前生物是多么热门，出国多么容易，现在多
少生物博后在挣扎中？

萨特那个名言我也记得，但是又觉得和我的工伤理性不符：
如果目标函数给定，选择集合越大，岂不是得到的constrained optimization越大？
就好比我喜欢吃水果，原来篮子里只有苹果和梨，我选了苹果。
后来时代进步了，篮子里又多了橙和香蕉。
如果我喜欢苹果超过橙和香蕉，我还是选苹果，我没有因为选择增加而worse off；
如果我喜欢橙超过苹果，我就选橙，我因为选择增加而better off。
为什么过多的自由反而会让人痛苦呢？这个例子里就不会。而我自己也确实有过选择多
了反而痛苦的经历。你enlighten我一下？

版上前两天有个母亲单独签证通过的，你可以参考一下她是怎么说的。
“工作太忙走不开”，这个说的太笼统，有糊弄之嫌。记得那个妈妈是说他需要看店铺
，太忙走不开（原话不记得了）。回答问题要具体简明。不能任何问题都笼统地说。
绿卡是个问题，但不是主要问题，问题出在前面，签证官唯一关心的是申请人回不回去
，跟lz的绿卡关系不大，但是lz有了绿卡，可以帮助申请人留在美国，这个嫌疑加重申
请人的移民倾向。
申请人的配偶太忙，但是假设一下，一个50多岁的人，如果是私营企业主是可以理解的
，但是如果是公务员或其他就不能理解了。
个人感觉是房产证出示之后签证官就要拒了。因为房产证上没有申请人的名字，出示的
是无效证件，起码要和户口本等等文件一起递交。不要VO要什么才给什么。可以这样回
答“这是我家的房产证，还有户口本等其他资料，以及我爱人的身份证、工作证”。这
出示的这么多就证明你在国内的constrain。
问：女儿女婿做什么的？这已经是往“拒签”上引导了。

现有的状态是很难的。肯定会问“你丈夫/妻子这次怎么不一起来？”
