数据很solid, 直接推翻了领域里面的一个长久的误会并能更好的解释很多病理上的
phenotype. 但是问题在于，我们的文章只是推翻了以前的假说并大致指出了正确的方
向应该是什么样子的，但是我们没有做得特别深入的用分子机制来表明具体的正确机制
到底是怎么一个通道，一个大原因是领域里的实验方法都是围绕那个错误的假说来建立
的，所以根本没有人往我们指出的这个方向做过，所以目前的技术根本没有办法让我们
在正确的方向上做得特别深。

of the questions has such a step - solve (x+4)(x-5) = 0. I just saw a
student spent a quite long time to do this :
(x+4)(x-5) = x^2-5x+4x -20 = x^2-x-20 = 0, then x = (1+/-sqrt(1-4*(-20)))/2
= -4 and 5.

要写好的文章，最重要问题的不是英文，也不是写作的技巧，而是要有好的科学。研究
工作做得好这是最重要的。有一个错误的印象，认为只要我写得好，就可以发表在好的
杂志上，这是不对的。要发表好的文章，是非常非常困难的一件事情，最主要的因素是
一定要有一流的工作。所以今天我借这机会，主要讲的不是怎样写，而要怎样才能够做

发帖数: 68 | 48 最近有些和老板之间事情很郁闷，想听听各位老师的意见。下面抱怨啰嗦一堆，摘要一
下就是我觉得自己够升职，老板不愿意，反复纠结一年。不明白为什么老板不愿意给我
升职。
我是工程专业。我们专业，工业界时不时有opening，不愿意去的一般会做2年左右薄厚
。一般留在phd老板那里继续的postdoc的，直接会给research associate，好一点的会
给instructor。我phd毕业之后，去了Harvard 做postdoc，到现在三年了。postdoc这
三年发了4篇第一作者文章，IEEE类似水平，8篇第一作者的会议报告，三项专利。如果
加上phd时候的工作也有6篇一作paper，20篇一作会议，10个专利了。业内水平一般是7
篇一作paper拿到AP。
一年前，文章都差不多要提交的时候，我和导师商量可以不可以提高一下职位，从现在
的postdoc 换成instructor。当时老板说可以，他也有钱支持这个职位。我也就很开心
的过了一个年。今年二月的时候，他说是不是考虑先交一个grant。因为还是postdoc，

发帖数: 1 | 49 我也做一个5分的杂志的编辑。我的做法是，二审可以提出新的小问题。但是大问题如
conceptual problems, additional experiments，凡是一审中没有提到的，二审提出
了我基本不管。主要是因为天下没有完美的实验，啥文章如果想批评都是可以不断批评
的。我刚刚处理过一篇这样的投稿，作者改第三次了，这次在cover letter里面说其中
一个reviewer不断提出新问题，他们不知如何处理了。我仔细看了他们的文章后，立刻
就接收了。对于楼主来说，你当然有自由提任何意见了，但是编辑有权利不采纳。我个
人可以提出让作者在discussion里面作为本研究的limitation讨论一下就行了。再多的
要求就是过分了。 |
