根据《澳大利亚人报》（The Australian）的报道，2007年11月，澳大利亚一位女公务员（因为一些原因，其名字略去）在出差开会地的前一晚住进了其雇主为她预订的一家汽车旅馆。那个晚上，她正与一位“熟人”颠鸾倒凤，当时她头上的一盏玻璃灯砸伤了她。[注2]
她向为联邦政府提供工伤保险的康姆凯尔（Comcare）保险公司要求工伤赔偿。该保险公司称其保险项目“涵盖工作过程中和因工作而引发的任何伤害或疾病”。

XIO集团总部位于英国伦敦。上述报道称，解直锟在2015年夏天进行了一次欧洲之旅，XIO的高管们作为东道主带他参观了几家正在收购的，以及具有投资前景的几个项目，其中包括位于英国的阿斯顿·马丁工厂。阿斯顿·马丁跑车是大名鼎鼎的英国间谍007詹姆斯﹒邦德(James Bond)的座驾，XIO集团以此将这个项目命名为“邦德项目”。
报道称，解直锟指控XIO集团高管串谋诈骗钱财，自2014年投资了58亿人民币（约合9.4亿美元）之后，XIO集团方面现在却不回电话了。但这一指控遭到了XIO集团的否认。XIO首席执行官在一封电子邮件中写道，并未持有解直锟的资金，过去也没有拿到过他的钱。但对于是否有任何隶属于解植锟的公司投资了XIO集团的提问，公司发言人则没有回应。
