已经在没有任何数据的情况下，凭空估算出中国非正常死亡1650万了。
这就是Coale很神奇的地方。他那个线性回归模型，其实根本不需要什么统计局的数据
。因为没有数据也能回归出来1650万。有了数据呢，Coale回归出来的是1600万，只差
了50万。然后呢，Coale再以中国数据涉嫌作假（也就是under reporting），所以他就
“调整了数据”，然后“算出来”2700万这个数据。
至于你口口声声什么严肃学术讨论，你讨论学术了吗？我看来看去，你反复强调的是曹
树基等人的教授或高官身份而已嘛。主贴以及回帖里，我多次反复指出，不论是Coale
还是曹树基，根本就没有做过任何调查，而就是根据统计局的死亡率数据来建模推算。
而你反复回避的问题就是，统计局明明已经发布了“非正常死亡人数“的数据，仅仅是
因为这个数据达不到某些人的政治要求，所以呢，就集体失明，视而不见，将统计局的
此数据视为透明空气，将统计局的彼数据视为相对真理。这就是你说的严肃学术？

年底回国，本是很高兴的一件事，没想一场车祸把我气个够呛。
年近70的父亲走在人行道，被后面窜出的自行车碰倒动弹不得。我和家人马上送他到
家附近的大型医院，检查后发现多次骨折需要尽快做手术，但医院说由于年底医生都忙
着放假没人做，拒绝接受，二话不说就让我们离开。这家医院在骨科方面不是很强，所
以对他们的恶劣态度也没在意，马上送去全省最好的医院。没想到这里也是同样的借口
，态度强硬，连住院都不愿意接受，让我们马上离开。幸好有亲戚在该医院工作，见说
不通马上叫来，才办理好住院手续，但仍坚持没有医生无法手术。回家问了问，没想到
有个远方亲戚居然是该医院副院长，于是一个电话过去，第二天就顺利做完了手术。看
着父母都是一生清白做人，还是特级教师，上个医院被如此对待，简直难以忍受。
原来准备早日回国工作，这次回去心寒了很多。想想自己在国外呆久了，本来人际关

买房子，肯定强过在美国抄底买任何东西吧？这两年要是在国内做地下钱庄，也是赚的

径就需要提生。
太阳能是炒作，估计做替代还早得很；其它的主要就得靠水利和火力（煤/气/油），这
几个里面，煤的成分最大。
这几天做大盘了，没仔细考虑这个地方，很多煤炭股已经飚了下。后面来说应该还是继

contributed to shaving 5.5 years off life expectancy there, a study says.
It says air pollution from burning coal in the area north of the Huai River,

On June 2, the Environmental Protection Agency is going to announce new
rules for existing coal-fired power plants, most likely a 20 percent
reduction in allowable carbon dioxide emissions. The only way this will be
possible will be by upgrading almost all combustion units, and the ultimate
cost of the upgrades will make coal noncompetitive with much-less-expensive
natural gas–fired facilities.

is a big trend in the United States for natural gas to replace coal, even as
the base load he is talking about. It may have something to do with
regulation making coal more expensive,. The real reason is shale gas, which
has produced enormous amount of natural gas and depressed natural gas prices
so much that it is actually more economical to use gas as part of the base

孩子刚出生岳父母就过来了，开始还相安无事，我是好吃好喝招呼着(我请了两周假，
在家做了14天饭，之后的周末节假日也基本是我做饭)。多说一句，我们来美这些年，
LP很少做饭，她的说法是没有责任和义务管我的吃，所以我练就了不错的厨艺。
渐渐的我注意到他们抱小孩时自称爷爷奶奶，我和LP说了，LP说她两个姐姐的小孩（都
十一二岁了）都叫他们爷爷奶奶
我心里自然不高兴，但也没明说，现在孩子还小，你们自娱自乐我也懒得管。只是有时
跟着孩子叫他们外公外婆，人家还不高兴了，说神马大老远跑来帮忙带孩子，还不配叫
奶奶...这哪跟哪啊！
简单说一下我LP家的情况。他们来自中国南方某个不算很偏远的小镇，岳父在镇子附近
的一个乡中教体育，现已退休；岳母没工作，八十年代从农蔬大队转成了城镇户口。在
临街的宅基地上盖了4层楼房，一楼门面出租，这两年租金收入还可以。两个姐夫都是

1. Right now there is shortage of coal in China for sure since power
shortage is everywhere. Actually China just increased the export tax for
coal to restrict exporting, which could boost the world coal price. What is
unclear is if china will go into recession and hence reduce the coal demand
in the future.
2. The market is usually biased, the market sentiment can easily overwhelm
the FA. So even if FA is bad, in short term FA is not important. |

Also look at the monthly chart for the past month,
Big MMs have been pumping up in order for dumping, again and again.
