special education 分 self contained 和 inclusion classroom.

With school budgets being slashed across the country, more and more teachers
are paying for classroom supplies with their own money, according to a new
study. The survey, by Horace Mann insurance, found 26% of teachers polled
reported spending $400 of their own hard-earned on school supplies last year
—up 3% from 2011

sorry, yes, my first sentence didnot express in a right way. Averagely, good
christian schools have very caring teachers. Yes, some of the Christian
schools could be awful. I have seen one like that. The teachers just stood
in the middle of the playground and with their arms in front of their chest.
Half of the kids were sitting instead of playing. The flower in the garden
that for children's planting were completely dead. However, the chicken that
teachers raised for bringing home the eggs were...

Students Are Really Bad at Geography
By Lauren Camera Oct. 16, 2015 | 2:04 p.m. EDT
It's no secret that U.S. students are horrible at geography and have been
for some time.
Nearly three-quarters of eighth-graders tested below proficient in geography
on the 2014 National Assessment of Educational Progress – also known as
the Nation's Report Card – and that's almost exactly the same result as in
1994.
It's a similar case when looking at prior NAEP assessments of fourth- and
12th-graders, approximately 80 percent of whom tested below ...

http://www.smarterbalanced.org/sample-items-and-performance-tas
Selected-response items prompt students to select one or more
responses for a set of options.
Technology-enhanced items take advantage of computer-based
administration to assess a deeper understanding of content
and skills than would otherwise be possible with traditional
item types. Technology-enhanced items capitalize on technology

First Graders Who Were Identified for More Help Fell Further Behind
By Sarah D. Sparks
Back to Story
Response to intervention has become ubiquitous as a framework to teach
students to read in elementary schools, but the most comprehensive federal
evaluation of the approach to date finds that it may hold back some of the
children it was originally designed to support.
First graders who received reading interventions actually did worse than
virtually identical peers who did not get the more target...

BOSTON - It has been one of the most stubborn problems in education: With 50
states, 50 standards and 50 tests, how could anyone really know what
American students were learning, or how well?
At a dinner with colleagues in 2009, Mitchell Chester, Massachusetts's
commissioner of education, hatched what seemed like an obvious answer - a
national test based on the Common Core standards that almost every state had
recently adopted.
Now Dr. Chester finds himself in the awkward positio...
