york hotel, and told him he'd take the arkansas job.
1. mike taylor and other team captains asked alvarez to coach rose bowl. he
agreed.
2. alvarez said this is a 1-game thing.
3. arkansas did not contact alvarez in the process. barry said he was
surprised. he thought bielema was trying to tell him he'd interview at
arkansas when bielema first approached him.

2. UW's Athletic Board had a meeting today. It did two things: move up the
hire date, now it's Wednesday, Dec 17th; decide the ball-park figure for the
next coach's pay.
3. Alvarez met with Paul Chryst and Greg Schiano Thursday. He'll interview
one more candidate, whose name is still unknown. |

被“outcoach”了。 但是市长毕竟是市长，经过中场调整，下半场明显占上风，跑，
传，防守都打起来了。前面屡试不爽的WR Peavy当RB使跑边线也给截住让Chryst不敢使
了。JTB居然跑了近100码，说明Badger明显防不住了。JTB想传球也有足够的时间。相
反，面对他丐的pass rushing，QB Hornibrook的时间少得可怜，最明显的是最后一次
持球，WR全被cover，假动作刚把球收回，pass rusher就到了。

RB看起来都很美，空档太大太多。出来的RB Bust不少，包括John Clay， Montee Ball
, 和James White。因为NFL没有那么大的空档。我觉得Gordon应该是这些人里面最好的
，不过好多少真不知道。
一个例子，Wisconsin的前OC Paul Chryst到University of Pittsburgh以后，run同样
的系统，convert了一个DE当RB，现在数据是1560 yards，average也超过6 yards/
carry，今天对UNC跑了220yards 4TD |

reason. he was pretty good at developing whatever talent he could get.
however,
he was not a good in-game coach. i'm not sad seeing him go and i do wish
him well at arkansas. although it was funny that just the past summer, he
said, "I can tell you this: We at the Big Ten don’t want to be like the SEC
— in any way, shape or form." maybe spurrier will bring this up next time
they meet.

barry alvarez will go this route. if so, that means former players or former
assistant coaches. i'm listing some names in the order of what i think is
their likelihood of coming to madison.

今年还有一个乔州的Mohamed Barry，也是NCAA入学标准够了，但是威大的不够
这个事情，我是支持威大的，入学标准不能降低。
我想可能巴里请安德森的时候，这件事情没有解释得够清楚，也许他觉得碰上这样的情
况，会有操作空间。
巴里找下面这个教练，这个事要说得很清楚，才行。
当然，要上请PITT的Paul Chryst，是自己人，就不用了。
威大的入学要求，比明大，内大，衣大都要高很多。本来明州的学生上威大是按州内生
缴费的，就是因为这个入学要求，很多明州学生来不了，不少人抱怨的。
威大想维护自己在公立学校里的名声（和密大，伊大并立），如果在脚球招生上有损失
，我觉得校长会接受的。教练不能接受，自己走人，也挺好。反正威大脚球就那样，8-
10胜，校友就满意了。 |

西北的防守好像专门针对Wisconsin设置的似的，前年一场球4个interception。去年更
惨，5个turnover！拥有 Corey Clement的Badger去年在主场的net rushing居然为-26
码。没错，是负数！全场3rd down conversion只有可怜的两次成功。
西北目前的DC Mike Hankwitz居然是Paul Chryst在威獾当OC的时候威獾的DC。 |
