Yale， Stanford, Princeton几所藤校是restrictive EA。你录取了可以不去，但你不
能三心二意还申请其它学校的EA/ED。
我当年从上海飞Boston，一下飞机就觉得自己到了大农村...
Tufts校园附近不太热闹，应该没有UVA大公校热闹。不过就城市而言，Boston肯定比
Charlottesville更热闹，也更文化。

太少的美国人真正能够适应现代社会所需要的工作。适龄男性劳动参与率处于大萧条以
来的最低点，鸦片类毒品滥用现象非常普遍，凶杀和暴力困扰着内陆城市。几乎有一半
的孩子都是非婚生子女，而更多的孩子由单身母亲抚养。许多大学生缺乏基本的技能，

另外，大学的名声和水平有一定的定论。这些数据可以起辅助参考的作用，但如果光看
这些数据，那就本末倒置了。一个普通的学校，再怎么提高数据的表现或解释，也比不
过MIT的。:)

人的身分政治」，目标是创造一个白人的国家、摧毁「左派」，并将左派称为「死亡的
意识形态」。批评者指他们是顽固的白人民族主义者。
「另类右翼」其实也由多个小团体组成。根据布赖特巴特新闻网（Breitbart News）的
报导，「另类右翼」的派别还可细分为「知识分子」、「天生保守派」和「迷因（Memo
）派」等──多数是热衷于网络搜寻的年轻活动家。它没有正式的成员资格，所以也很
难有凖确的成员数量估计。
在弗州暴力冲突事件发生后，8月14日川普更是抨击「白人至上主义者」和「新纳粹」
，表示∶「种族主义是邪恶的，那些以它的名义制造暴力的人是罪犯和暴徒，包括三K
党、新纳粹、白人至上主义者和其它不接受美国人所拥有的一切仇恨团体。」
两天后，川普抨击「另类左翼（Alt-Left）」也应为暴力事件负责，指左翼团体在未经

But the TV is saying that a 5.8 earthquake just hit Washington, D.C.
UPDATE: The quake has been upgraded to a 6.0.
The quake was centered in Charlottesville. The White House has been
