Bay Farm Island 用High st exit. 住市中心(park street area)用23 st exit.用隧
道的居民是住在靠近Alameda College 那一边.那里治安不好, 太多廉价公寓了.
High st 下班的时堵, 但是从南湾过来的方向. 你是相反的方向, 应不会太堵. slow
是肯定的, 这可是 freeway 880.
生活便利方面,当你看到有多少中国人住Alameda, 就知道没必要担心.

很多华人FAMILY CARE,华人社区分围很好，房租也不贵，肯定不到3000
如果住大华边上的高楼，那的房子新一点，现在大概2800左右吧，进城可以坐BUS，不
一定要坐BART
当然你也可以走到BART去，对我来说有点点远，你可以自己开车过去停BART边上，怎么
你早上也是要送娃去DAYCARE，怎么都要开车吧在、
其他地方也有APT，很多比较旧，需要你自己再找找，坐地铁基本就是EL CERRITO

住的地方，如果不在berkeley downtown附近，趴车应该也没问题
好多人住village，在albany
好多人住 el cerrito, 但是一定得是南部，往北靠richmond那边黑鬼太多很乱
oakland只有一个区还不错，还是不要去了
另外berkeley 山另外一面的 orinda moraga...都不错
我猜好多人住el cerrito是因为这是个各方面都比较均衡的地方吧，价格和距离
如果有小孩要上学，albany和 orinda那边学区最好
如果只是小学，kengsinton也不错，但中学没有 |

我是跟黄教练（联系方式，见精华区）学的，在暑假学了两次，每次两个小时。后来他
回台湾度假去了，我也中途回国一趟，就没有continue。直到我这个学期回来才继续。
我是totally from scratch with driving, 在开始的两个小时，他就先带我在
community周围的路上绕圈，最后开到El Cerrito 那个DMV旁边的一段路练习。主要就
turning过程中，对距离和速度的把握。中间强调很多注意点，其实就是对交规一些重
新emphasis. 但是黄教练显然对中国成语掌握得比较好，讲解过程诙谐幽默。很让我记
忆犹新。第二次，就是后面的2个小时，是在El Cerrito西侧的一段山路练习，主要是
对油门的把捏。快结束的时候，带我到 Richmond一段高速路的交汇段联系，那个地方
，路况比较复杂，很锻炼自己。回来的时候，还开了一段高速路。颇为兴奋。
其实车的基本的操作，一两次后，就蛮熟悉了。但是很多东西，例如换线，对车距，油
门，刹车的把握，还是要一些时间来锻炼的。而且，开车过程中，注意力应该在路上，

发帖数: 577 | 15 你不是LBL吗？如果不开车，反正得坐实验室的shuttle因为公交车上不去，这个住近住
远都得倒到实验室的Shuttle上，berkeley地铁站(BART)就有实验室的shuttle站，el
cerrito有俩BART站，住的地方离BART站够近没有问题
其实东湾的bus网还不错,但是山上的POSTDOC没有免费bus pass, 坐地铁快多了，反正
得倒实验室shuttle
问题就是周末和晚上，只好叫实验室的escort了，或者开车，走路的话，一两次还行，
老是走路爬山还是比较惨。山上的大家一般都开车，山上免费停车比山下校园好多了，
当然如果开车住el cerrito更没问题了 |

狂贵的原因之一. 如果在BERKELEY靠山上的校区,也可以考虑ORINDA, 从ORINDA到
BERKELEY可以沿山路开,避开24的隧道,也不太堵车.当然前提是开山路不头晕. :-)
如果先只考虑小学, EL CERRITO\BERKELEY\KINSONGTON\UPPER ROCKRIDGE\MONTCLAIR都
可以考虑. 其中我偏好后2个.
UPPER ROCKRIDGE的HILLCREST是个10分的K-8学校,前提是你的孩子<5岁,能从KG入学.如
果错过的KG入学,基本没空位入学. MONTCLAIR的原因是房价比BERKELEY便宜,治安比EL
CERRITO好, 从13去BERKELEY很方便.

加州一名华人男子承认，利用假护照替中国留学生代考英语，并以此为他们骗取留美学
生签证。
现年24岁的蔡柳Liu Cai（以下简称Cai）承认了两项使用假护照的重罪。
美国地方法官John a . Kronstadt计划于2020年2月13日举行量刑听证会，届时Cai将面
临法定最高20年的联邦监狱刑期。

2点40分左右在学校一楼楼梯间强奸了一名12岁的女孩。当时正值上课时间，楼梯处没有

性侵害发生时，一名女生恰好走进来，看到了发生的一切，立即向学校有关人员报
告，学校领导遂与受害者联系，证实的确发生了性侵害事件，受害者身体轻微受伤。嫌
