effort to position the the renminbi on the world stage.
In July, China started a renminbi settlement system for cross-border trade
in Hong Kong, but it placed limits on how much currency could be exchanged.

构越来越复杂，不同德士车款有不同的起程收费引起关注，财政部兼交通部高级政务部
长杨莉明上星期在国会答复议员询问时透露，陆路交通管理局将同公共交通理事会及德
士公司探讨如何简化车资结构。
德士公司自1998年9月起就能自行制定车资结构，2003年6月德士市场自由化，政府不再
限制德士车辆数目顶限，也不限制德士公司的数目，这次交通部承诺将探讨简化车资结
构，然而是否会继续允许德士公司制定不同收费，杨莉明表示目前还未得出结论。
近年来，德士公司纷纷引进各种不同的车款，共计30多种，随着拥车证成价居高不下，
这些新款德士的起程车资也水涨船高，并已成为德士业者间接调高收费的理由，2011年
12月12日康福德高德士带头起价后，其他德士公司也跟着起价，造成今天不同车款德士
，共有九种不同的起程车资，介于3元至5元之间，令消费者感到混乱。

以前跟大家讲过，因为加州经济不好，学区请家长捐钱来补贴教育。今年的筹款
deadline是本月底，如果筹不到足够的钱的话，学区就会再减掉四个老师。刚才听到一
个老美跟我讲，他们学校里有些亚裔告诉他，"It is our belief in my community
that we did not give money to the public schools". 好像这些亚裔就是要占别人
的便宜，take free ride一样。我听了很吃惊也觉得很被羞辱。那些人自己不愿意捐就
好了，把整个亚裔拿出来说事干什么？我自己觉得咱亚裔家长还是挺支持的吧。我们许
多双职工的家长要上班，时间上投入不了，金钱上还是大方的吧？
