发帖数: 1 | 16 本人现在在澳大利亚的悉尼，在这里申请网络时可以有一个静态IP地址（每个月50澳元
）。于是我就自己在家里建了一个服务器：CentOS 5.4 + BIND + Apache + Sendmail.
我自己也申请了一个域名，试了一下，域名解析和Email收发都正常。从中国和美国连
回澳大利亚速度还不错。现有两点想法，欢迎大家指点。
（1）想做Web hosting, Email hosting.这个市场大，但竟争也很激烈。上网查了一下
，在澳大利亚估计有80＋的公司在做这个。刚刚从www.auda.org.au首页上查的数据，
有1723461域名注册了，好象前两周还只有1650000左右。当然也有同一家公司注册了许
多相似的域名的情况。如果平均一个客户一年只收100澳元，拥有1000个客户就有一定
的收入了，至少能cover公司的运作了吧。
（2）可以做一个电子商务网站，装了一个oscommerce,测试了下可以用paypal收钱了。
但是不知道该卖啥，所以还没有去调查。
由于本人是技术出身的，不太懂marketing.欢迎大家从marketing的角度指点。同时更

SERVER, 做备份. 以后不用SATA的HD了, 只用SAS 和 SSD. 目前最新的CENTOS 的LINUX
kernel 还不支持TRIM, 所以只能SAS. 以后2.6.28以上了就要SSD了.
我玩CONCEPT一向不行, 所以对SAAS没有看法. :(. 具体到个例子, hosted solutions
for biz 是个好主意, 只不过竞争太激烈了, 你如何冒出来是个大问题. |

desktop. Rack mount server is too noisy for home. $1000 can get you one
machine with very good spec. Mine was purchased 5 years ago from dell at $
450 including monitor.
To my knowledge, even though ubuntu have server edition, it is normally good
for desktop. For server, I would recommend CentOs. |

第一，有人怀疑我公司多大
salesforce，现在九千人，年底应该上万。目前公司使用google doc做为内部文档分享
，很好用，当然不排除manager做ppt和finance做帐依然还是用MS office。但是从趋势
来讲，google doc正在逐步取代MS office。毕竟不能一夜就变了对吧。
另一个就是我们内部使用chatter，用过的应该有体会，这个会代替70%以上的邮件往来
。而且用gmail替换outlook也一直在讨论。还是那句话，趋势上来说outlook正在被一
步步取代。

试了Ubuntu和centos 6.5，都有这个问题。就是大写状态下，按caps lock换小写有0.x
秒的延迟，打出来的是大写。然后就都 是小写。我打字习惯用caps lock换大小写，对
我来说更快。上网查了一圈好像这个问题无解。有没哪个gui做的没这个bug？ |

downtown的正宗好吃还贵，建议出hotel zone去吃。
Hotel zone的车是10.5比索
Downtown里面的小巴是8.5比索
酒店区换汇率是 16.40左右，这两天的价格，和MEX机场差不多，不知道CUN机场有多黑
，但是刷卡的话银行汇率是17多，我住downtown酒店刷的比索，比预计当时定的美金还
要便宜一些，省了10我十几刀，所以能刷比索刷比索喽。
还有个tip是定Chicken Pizza的那个tour，我不知道我定的是不是最便宜的，51美金，
是在cancuntour discount网站定的，双语，虽然英文不咋地，但基本都是双语。有个
trick，如果直接定plus tour是79个美金好像，但是出发的时候会告诉你+15就可以变
成plus，只要66 total，但是比直接定plus tour的差一盒早餐，那合早餐也不值钱就

不过我们专业一直都用fedora或者基于red hat改装的linux，比如那个scientific
linux，就是fermi lab和cern用centos改的。所以习惯问题，就一直用fedora了 |
