一小时后到了卖主家。卖主是个白人小伙子，不大的客厅里放了好几对音箱。除了放在
大架子上的Polk，还正好有一对Yellowapple有的CSW Tower II，以及一对Bose的Cube
，2个Sony的落地箱放在后面当环绕。
Polk这对已经接在Sony EX系列的功放上了（型号没有仔细看，说是好几年前的产品，
当初卖1200刀云云），音源用的是Carver的5－CD Changer。第一眼看，这对双6寸的书
架好大！体积其实不比旁边的CSW Tower小多少。设计很有意思，箱孔在背后，但是有
个罩子一样的东西反射用。可以bi-amp。我去的急，没有带自己的唱片。卖主问我听什
么音乐，我说Classical，他没有什么，就放Kenny G吧（没想到老外居然还有听这个的
）。听了一会，感觉声音很纯净，低音是我书架箱里听过最好的，量感足，很有弹性，
中音比我的Insignia厚实多了，高音延展性不错。声音是稍稍偏暖的那种。不过说实话

发帖数: 2640 | 14 偷偷摸摸搞了一个低音炮，last piece。木已成舟，不怕LD的压力了。上来说一下。
原来影院系统空有两个无源超大低音炮。先随便接了个30年新的sansui，每声道20W！
竟然挺有质感。相当沉稳。一时大意，买了个100W/声道，不能bridge的adcom545。 总
体就是不行。推不动。总体声音慢而缓，小动静基本感觉，大动静倒真有排山倒海的感
觉，18层大楼觉得要塌。。。 感觉不能收放自如。
换功放么，两声道大推力的，都不便宜。正在看carver和nad。
转念一想，就上个小小的有源低音吧。正巧local有货，当即拿下。
到底搞了什么炮？
M&K MX-70。双8寸低音单元，一个向前，一个向下。成色很新，$150。
超级发烧友卖，他的主力音箱，超大纯甲后级，前级，竟一个都不认识。。。惭愧。
正在调试中。mx-70没有相位调节，mx-70b加上了。所以位置摆放要费一阵功夫。
速度真是相当快啊，快放快收，肯定适合音乐。还没试DVD，应该不会差。
以前低音炮也用过几个。这玩意儿，还非得二手的。velodyne cht-12 或者ct-120,$
200就能拿下。m&k, v 系列大 |

发帖数: 188 | 17 今天去一个dealer那里听了一下。他先是给我听了一对B&W 805（Diamond），paired
with a Bob Carver VTA20 （$1200），听了觉得不错，但是$5000超了预算，他就给我
换了一对Dali Mentor1，$2000。感觉音域没有805宽，而且个人感觉805更dynamic一点
，或者是传说中的加了味精？这两对好像都是monitor的。但是Dali的也还ok。Dealer
说如果感兴趣他可以order一对Mentor2，$2800，音域会宽一点。
做了一下study,好像说805 diamond不如原先的805 matrix。可惜查了audiogon和ebay
都没有这两个型号的（805 matrix和Dali Mentor2）。805 diamond有一对，也要$4000
，超了预算了。Mentor 2在ebay上有一对，但是seller在斯洛文尼亚，感觉有点悬。看
来要蹲点了。

衰减, 所以那些废料掩埋中心周围100米的房子政府要观察,再远了就可忽略不计了.要
上到 1 mile 以外, 受到的辐射还比不上您从冰箱等家电那儿得的辐射多. 专家跟我说
, 要这么说,您还是连冰箱都别用了吧. 再说呢, 没
准您家房子地底下一块石头的辐射都比您周围有废料掩埋中心得的辐射强. 所以专家说
别瞎耸人听闻了.

今晚有空, 和大家聊聊Intel.
早上看报, 看到一条小新闻.HP决定把他的高端video conference 业务卖给Polycom.
钱不多, 89M. 发言人解释说这是为了让HP更好地focus于公司的既定战略. 记得前一阵
子, cisco把以前吭吃吭吃搬来的flip, webex拿出来yard sale的时候, 也说是要专注
于公司的core business. 确实, HP, Cisco这些横向铺开的大公司, 是够不专心的. 另
一方面, 每一个loser都情愿说自己是那只不专心的兔子, 没有人会愿意承认自己是无
能的乌龟, 虽然有时候, 乌龟才是赢家.
和Cisco, HP比起来, Intel就是这样一个专注如乌龟的公司. 这样说是偶个人意见, 很

奥斯汀华人摄影协会会员：
奥斯汀艺联所属的奥斯汀华人摄影协会，将在2013年10月19日那一周举办国际摄影展，
地点是在奥斯汀Carver 博物馆，已经有夏威夷，旧金山，洛杉矶，纽约五个美国城市
参加，中国的海宁市，如皋市，十堰市，徽州及厦门市也有报名。都是摄影专家，包括
拍金门大桥获奖的摄影家。
1. 有兴趣参加摄影展的，只能投稿一幅，经评委会审议。免费。截止期是6月底，请送到
receive99@...，作品名称必须是作者姓名+作品名称，如 王天如+玛雅古塔
2. 同时，征集一幅奥斯汀的优秀作品，在海报上刊登。也欢迎赞助，赞助者将在报上
刊登。
3. 欢迎志愿工作者。
奥斯汀华人摄影协会在3年前获得市长的嘉奖，在国际上也有一定的声誉，这次摄影展
后，世界发行的“美国周刊”上将会出专刊报道奥斯汀华人摄影协会。
谢谢大家的支持，预祝这次国际摄影展成功 -- 我们一定会成功的，这7年来，我们所
