#1 you have to remove a few parts ( engine cover, fly wheel etc) to be
able to get access to the screw to detach the carburetor.
#2 有的简单点,
Remove the nut that holds the top and bottom of the carburetor together.
Set it to the side in a safe place. You need the nut to reassemble the
carburetor.
Pull the two halves of the lawn mower's carburetor apart. There may be
some gas in the carburetor, so do this over a rag or paper towel.

问题， 后来拆开air filter和carburetor用cleaner喷了下以后就好了， 当即赶紧把
剩的汽油烧光， 就空着过冬了。
今年第一次拿出来用， 发现又打不起来， 照老样子喷了下carburetor， 好了。 感觉
很奇怪， 因为中间没有用， 没道理carburetor又会脏啊。
anyway, 今天第二次拿出来用， 刚开始能打起来， 因为用了bag， 当中袋子满了停下
来去倒， 回来后就又打不起来了！ 又拆了air filter和carburetor， 这次我干脆没
喷cleaner， 就发现能打起来了！ 接下去就是不停的循环， 每次袋子满了去倒， 回
来就打不起来了， 拆了重新装一下， 就能打起来。 也就是说， 每次只能打起来一次
。
这个太诡异了吧， 不知道啥出问题了，害得我折腾到天黑也没把草割完，555 |

几个月前买了一个80s的two stage snow blower 和一个26寸used chainsaw. 都不工作
。清洗carburetor, 先试了carburetor cleaner任何hardware store, lowes,
homedepot 都有买。买了两罐，chainsaw可以启动，snow blower还是不行。 google说
pine sol泡三天，去Walmart买的，比cleaner便宜多了。泡三天后，装起来，worked！
tips:
把残留清洗液吹干
carburetor 上有一个可调的high speed idle和一个low speed idle
装好后的carburetor，好像要调节那个low speed idle，让点火处于最佳状态。 |

sears,最后是carburetor出现问题，重新换了一个就好了。我问：怎么避免再次堵住
carburetor，建议用最高级别的gas.在入冬前，我已经烧光了所有的汽油直至机器停止。
扫雪机看来也有同样的问题，可是如何清洗carburetor?

挥舞着大铁锹， 挖了一会。 望着一望无际的雪海， 偶崩溃了（图1）。。。得挖到哪
辈子呀。。还是出动机械化部队吧。。。把从来没用过的铲雪机抬出来，一拉绳子发动
起来， 不到30秒就停了。。一连试了10几次都这样。。怎么回事？ 难道是坏了？急忙
上网发贴，搜索， 网友们都很热心， 一会就诊断出常见问题， 去年没有保养。
carburetor中的汽油成冻胶了,要拆卸清理机器。靠。。。。马上等着用呢。。。出去
找人修理来不及了。要不要自己动手呢？
在网上看了一些教程之后，终于决定了，好的，拆！
铲雪机翻过来，地上铺上旧报纸。准备好手套，螺丝刀，抹布，塑料桶（怕漏油）。
。。卸掉（图2）的螺丝， 把carburetor拿下来，把里面的汽油倒到小塑料桶里，
carburetor里外用抹布好好擦了一遍， 再原样装回去。。。。。再试着发动铲雪机。
。。哇哈哈哈哈....
...成果：（图3）driveway（图4）sidewalk.........太有成就感勒。。。 |

carburetor and let it sit for a while, try to start again with some fresh
gas. |

You might need to to adjust the mixture setting in the carburetor to allow a
faster idle speed.
Too many things can go wrong with such a small engine. I would clean up the
carburetor real good first and use some fresh gas and see what happens.

carburetor. google一下， 再看你的发动机manual, 很容易解决。 我把我的铲雪机的
carburetor拆下来用金属丝把
喷油的孔通一通就好了。我是去年的油没烧干，加了点stabilizer,也不行。好像现在
的油都有ethanol,一般的stabilizer 也不能解决氧化问题。 |

可以排除。然后拆carburetor底座，有油，证明从油箱到这里的油路是通的。无奈最后

是什么问题。很多老车会显示是打火嘴或something。我的经验是用fuel injector and
carburetor cleaner, Walmart 就有卖的，很便宜。一定要保证每三个月或3k miles
做一次oil change, 在此基础上每月用一次 fuel injector and carburetor cleaner
，可以的话每次加油的时候也加gas treatment。当然这些都是在保证你的车没有其他
大问题的情况下。 |

２）ＨＣ，ＣＯ都不高
把点火正时略调后就可以了。
前面说的也对，测尾气前一定要跑点高速，特别是老车，这样Catalytic Converters
是热的，效率比较高。
不过NO高说明燃烧室温度过高，点火正时略调后就可以了。 |

发帖数: 818 | 20 Jay说的没错。如果filter脏东西多的话，要找原因。不光要换filter，tank可能脏了
需要清洗，fuel line也可能老化了需要更换。给油就死或者rough idle还有个常见原
因是化油器脏了，特别是two stroke发动机。长期使用low grade的gas和oil，还有每
次用完后不drain化油器最后往往导致这类问题。可以先试试Seafoam，YouTube上有教
程。如果Seafoam clean之后有改进，但没有彻底解决问题，再把化油器拆下来清洗，
网上也有很多教程。不太脏的话可以用carburetor spray喷喷，varnish很严重的话需
要全拆散了用carburetor dip浸泡。Walmart的 Berryman Chem-Dip就不错。顺便可以
把fuel pump也拆开洗洗。 |

for engines that have leaks of gas into the cylinder either
from the fuel injector or carburetor. it will create vipor lock
for next start since the gas vipor is too condense that the
amount of air is not enough to burn it. :(
the more you crank, the more gas flashed into the cylinder and
eventually preventing the start of engine.

Besides the regular check-up and maintenance work (tire, brake, battery,
engine oil, brake fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, all hoses, all belts
, etc)
consider the following:
1. Air filter, cabin filter change.
2. gas filter if it hasn't been changed.
3. spark plug and wires if they haven't been changed.
4. Transmission fluid, drain and refill. NOT flush!!
5. Do a "seafoam" work if you know how. - to clean the intake, injector and
carburetor, etc. |

前几天准备用一下，一开始还能启动，
割了半院子后，再启动就光冒烟打喷嚏，启动不了了。
Craigslist问了一句，有人问我是不是 leave gas in it while in storage
被他问中了，割草机放那儿半年多了没用，汽油没清空。于是，那人又说

their parts, which speeds up the corrosion. The ones OP mentions are
reported to have problems with carburetors and fuel bowl.
If you gotta buy them, use high octane gas. Don't forget stabilizers. Yes, I
meant plural if there is ethanol in your gas. I forget which, pink or blue,
is for treating water coming with ethanol, but we don't need to remember
that, just buy two colors. |
