去年此时，正是我下决心离开大西洋舰队的时候。在大西洋舰队的血库工作了好几年，
虽然自己堪当重任，同事之间关系相处得也不错，但是不肯安逸的心却又躁动了起来；
加上自己在职衔晋升的道路上屡屡受挫，虽然考核总得高分，但是最后的评比老是败北
，所以终于恼羞成怒了起来，以为换了工作的地点，也许会有好的运气。
恰巧此时德州有个学校读书的名额，于是我毫不犹豫地提交了调离报告，希望换换手气
。报告提交上去不久，兼管血库的CAPTAIN Scherrer将我叫到她的办公室，告诉我根据
她的阅历，我所要去读的那个学校，因为医学自动化的普及，将来并不一定有什么好的
前途，希望我能够认真考虑，但是她尊重我作出的任何选择。我当时去意已决，这所学
校也是唯一的逃生之路，自然是坚持自己的抉择。CAPTAIN Scherrer也就很爽快地在
我的报告上签字并且交还了我。

发帖数: 2817 | 3 好在紧张备考的日子也过得飞快，我在UTHC，看见二对中老年的老中夫妇，总是很恩爱
的样子，每天结伴上下班，又看见年轻的老中新生，大声地在教学楼走廊里用不标准的
普通话在交流,走廊两边的大玻璃外，郁郁葱葱的树木遮掩了BIOMED GRADUATE SCHOOL
的标志。看着看着，我就毕业了。
因为成绩不坏到勉强达到优先挑选下一个工作地点的程度，我在华盛顿和圣地亚哥中选
择了后者。确实，对于我来说，东海岸是用来回忆的，而西海岸是用来生活的。
于是，我们就又要搬家了。
只不过这一次，乔迁的喜悦远远不能胜过离别的忧伤。
上次走的时候，我们全家二口人，所有家当加在一起不过3000多磅，这一次，人口翻番
，家当重量更是达到9000多磅。
整理、打包要搬走的家当是件辛劳的事情，看着曾经充满爱意的一个个房间渐次空旷起
来，慢慢地回到我们刚来时的情形，过往的时光缓缓地在我们的眼前倒流，大家都只有
惆怅的沉默，只有MASON为了逐渐扩大的地盘而开心，因为现在他像Honey Badger那样
爬行的范围极大地广阔了。

发帖数: 2817 | 4 CAPTAIN Scherrer自己也是个工作狂。血库的工作是24/7的，而且有许多需要请示汇
报的地方，比如，血清用完了该怎么办，抗体找不到又该如何等等。CAPTAIN
Scherrer既然兼管血库的工作，当然免不了深更半夜、节假日周末被我们骚扰；与此同
时，CAPTAIN Scherrer还有一大堆其他分管或者主管的工作，每一项工作量都小不了
，换成我的话早就趴下了，她居然还有精力和Cristina利用周末时间在附近的大学教授
血液知识。
她就是这样一个一分钟当成十分钟用的人，和我们这样胡乱消磨时光，半夜泡BBS的下
室琐男有云泥之别。
临离开前，一次偶然的机会，得知CAPTAIN Scherrer的父母也居住在我所在的小区，
而且就是街角那家最大，庭院整理得最漂亮的那家。于是我兴冲冲地拜访了CAPTAIN
Scherrer的父母。CAPTAIN Scherrer的妈妈是个非常慈祥的老太太，纤细而温婉。她
的爸爸十分开朗，退休之前也是NAVY的校官。他们一共抚育了9个孩子。所以车牌上的
文字是：9 is Enough。

我们也很高兴地将加州房市蒸蒸日上，以及我们在MM买小黑屋的情况介绍给了CAPTAIN
Scherrer。
新药的疗效似乎不错，感恩节的时候甚至收到了来自CAPTAIN Scherrer的贺卡，小小的
卡片上她的字迹简洁有力，从容不迫地介绍说新药在一定程度上抑制了癌细胞的生长。
看来医生的所谓只能存活6个月的预言是实现不了了。我很高兴地同LD说。

发帖数: 2817 | 9 我有些担心，但是想到她自己是医生，自然有计较，而且看他面色饱满，似乎并不要担
忧。
圣诞节的假期，如过眼云烟，飞快消失了，回到圣安东尼奥，又是无休止的考试和实习
，还有沈阿姨声如洪钟的鼾声。其实这些都不算啥，最苦恼的是离开家人的痛苦，特别
是无法看见只能想像MASON如同HONEY BADGER一样飞快地到处地爬行，嘴里还发出各式
奇异的欢呼。
好不容易熬到亡兵节4天周末，我又愉快地逃离沈阿姨反复询问我英文单词的烦恼，一
路欢笑地回家探亲了。
期间我带着MASON到血库去拜访各位同事，大家当时相处得挺融洽，我临走一共搞了5次
欢送聚餐，到了德州，Ms. Ross来开会还给我带来了大家买给MASON的衣服。问及
CAPTAIN Scherrer，得知她昨天刚刚退休。Cristina告诉我CAPTAIN Scherrer现在恰
好正在3楼接受治疗，她说，你去看她的话，CAPTAIN Scherrer一定会很开心的。
我抱着MASON到3楼，看见输血室里躺着一个病人，骨瘦嶙峋，都不怎么像CAPTAIN

尤其当第二排上还有car seat的情况下。于是打算买第二排是Captain chair的，结果
发现dealer那边绝大多数都是Bench Seats的。
请问大家究竟是Bench seats的好还是Captain chair的好？ |

两边座位也没captain seat 舒服， 加上进出第三排不方便。建议可折叠的captain
seat。

2. 二排 Captain seats 中间进出方便
解决楼主的问题, 如果买美国三排SUV比如GM三兄弟等可以把car seat放第三排一个,
完美。
如果日本车就得2个car seats 都放第三排

，在此谢谢！这里有两个问题，关于住和大岛captain cook的kayaking tour：
我们一行5人（婆婆加LG姐姐姐夫），所以找住的地方要能住下这么多人又想便宜些。
看到有人说在homeaway订很合算，我刚看的时候也觉得好，可是仔细看rate，发现很多
地方有minimum stay,有的地方那个list的价钱是一个人的，每多个人要加钱，而且很
多地方有cleaning fee，都要100多，我想问这个cleaning fee是怎么回事？是
checkout时都要交的吗？也就是说即使list的是80/night, 不算人多加钱，最后结帐是
80+Tax+cleaning fee? 这样算来，如果我只住一个晚上并不划算啦 （为了省路上时间
，打算在大岛上每天换地方住）？在expedia上查的condo 大概150(include tax and
fee). 估计多住比较划算？

Aubrey-Maturin系列：《Post Captain》
好些年前，Russel Crowe演过一个电影叫做《Master and commander: The far side
of the world》。看完电影以后，感觉不错，但是有些意犹未尽，于是拿到了同名小说
翻翻。从此就掉进了兔子洞，一发不可收拾。
《Master and Commander》是系列小说的头一部，这个系列，Aubrey-Maturin系列，有
人说是一本巨大的小说，分成了二十集，不管怎么说吧，这是一部大书。这个系列围绕
着两个主人公，英国皇家海军军官，Jack Aubrey和他的好友，科学家以及医生Stephen
Maturin在拿破仑战争期间的冒险和经历。
首先可以说，这是一部关于航海的冒险故事，不但有很多海战的动作描写，还有很多帆
船 |

系列，最近看了Captain America: Civil War (2016)的Trailer，非常期待。今天到
IMDB上无聊了一把，我的天，竟然发现Message Board上华丽丽480页的讨论啊，这个不
知道是不是最多的讨论了？ |

发帖数: 1526 | 41 周六早场AMC，场子里坐了大概1/3的人。没有看3D。
总体感觉还是很不错的，可以给8分。看点当然是打戏和特效场面。对于DC地区比较熟
的人应该非常有感觉。表演上，Robert Redford演这种商业片也挺有些老油条的味道。
不过既然是影评，肯定要叽歪一下。有两点我觉得其实可以拍的更好的地方。第一，既然
片名是The Winter Soldier，其实他出现的场面也就1/3，也就是和Captain打一打，
基本没有别的互动。片子里也基本没有提到他这几十年的经历。第二，总感觉Marvel从
拍了Avengers以后这些电影都是一个套路出来，包括Thor 2和这部Captain America 2
。所以版上有人说这部就是Avengers 1.5我觉得非常精当——动作场面很大，演员就那
么几个人，情节其实都差不多，最后结果也差不多。所以看完了虽然感觉很爽，但是内
心里隐隐的觉得这就是每年一次的deja vu. |

另外，我怎么觉得Captain America 面对多位美女的直接和间接勾引无动于衷啊？反
而是对他的那个多年前的战友Bucky貌似有一点点不对劲。
Captain America旁边住着的那个护士小姐很漂亮，也给了不少镜头，我还以为她会有
更多的戏呢，但是貌似也真正没做啥。
唯一一个比较让我不满的是这个电影拉了太多电视剧的明星来客串了，尤其是How I
met you mother 里面的Robin 和Community 里的Abed Nadir让人看了特别容易出戏。 |

来就特别有现代感，不押韵，每行字数不受限制，非常散化。那怎么样确定这类作品还
是“诗”呢？而不是“分行”的散文呢？这就是适合朗诵的、符合发声的节奏，还有与
散文不同的神奇的、类似于神秘主义的意象。
在这首诗中，captain是林肯，而船就是美国的命运。fallen cold and dead，短促而
且冰冷，里面蕴含着林肯的宿命，因为他所领导的变革，触及了另外一方生存的根基，
必将受到他人的报复，他所从事的事业，却揭示了美国发展的新方向。死亡和命运，是
这首诗歌的主题。
他还有另外一首诗，写的是相同的内容。紫丁香花，巨星陨落以后的夜空，春天的哀伤
和对林肯的怀念，各种复杂的心绪编织在一起，构成这首长诗的基调。这是惠特曼特有
的风格，是在一个崭新的天与地之中的激情，欲望，探索的好奇心和恐惧的阵痛。惠特
曼是美国诗歌“太初有道（In the beginning was the word）”意味上的beginning。
