enclaves and never leave the island. They CAN'T survive other places where
street names are not numbers.
and wealthy, serious workholics STAY in the city for the week and they go to
the burbs for their weekends. It is the demand of work that make them stay
closer to work. They spend their weekends in their real houses in Fairfield
county, Bergen County, upper westchester or Nassau county.

基本上开车上班除非你那错过peak rush hour否则堵车时间远大于开车时间。我倾向于
用公共交通，省心。
买菜不用天天去，周末买一次管一礼拜了。即使住在南面burb, 去太平洋超市也不过二
十分钟左右。所以都不是什么问题。Denver没那么大。
Alameda station 可能靠downtown近了点，看起来不够nice, 推荐往南面一些。原则上
离城远一点的burb环境更好些。我觉得DU以南都可以考虑。9 mile station 位置也不
错。查查对apartment的评价，打分高的就可以考虑。
北面的地方我个人不会考虑，commute 辛苦，公交不够方便。
如果要准备住长时间，最好还是亲自看看再签lease. 作好功课后去几家apartments到
签lease,搬家一天之内也可以搞定。

睡得不踏實。餵的是母乳，胸餵的時候沒有太多溢奶現象，但是瓶餵的時候就經常出現

我發現必須要有恆心burbing, 堅持要在餵奶時每隔15分鐘就暫停，然後拍後背讓她打

flat开始，到后来的30-50units，大概30几年的经历，低调做人，从不大红大紫，但保
证绝对利益最大化。一个例子就是他们原来有的几幢楼，全在05,06两年间卖掉（我不
是信口胡言，我们这的county deeds上全有记录），你如果也是业内人士，应该知道05
,06 年卖楼的应该是什么样的人。细一点说，男的主要就是property management，女
的呢，大部时间是作realtor，但不作listing agent，只是四处带人看看房，了解市场
，找deal，fishing。两口子在我们那一片也算是小有名气的地主了。第二代，女儿女
婿都是投行出身，现在回家接班。因为他们的fiance背景，所以，能把原来的30-
50units做到100-300units的规模。分工嘛，就是老太太找deal，老头带女儿谈判，女
婿作finance这一块，fund raising和之后的asset management。

白雪的不是？你上面说的小提琴大师，我就不喜欢去这种公开课以做附庸风雅。
再说，都是有工作的人，早9晚5的，下班还要管孩子，在城里住的也没啥闲工夫的。本
来就是学生，单身工作的，最多是年轻没孩的夫妇，能够享受城里的amenities, 有了
孩子的家庭，还不是大多数都搬到burb去了？这还是说工作在城里的，那工作本身在城
外的，还有家有口的，谁还逆势住城里？
铲雪这事，很难说，我同事住城里，正好房前的路是死角，雪大的那几天都没帮他们铲
过，结果自己用手铲一点点得愚公移山，大家都来公司上班了，她还WFH呢。
还有，波士顿白人的清高和直接性的粗鲁，是不管你城里人，还是乡下人的。 |

发帖数: 328 | 31 昨天俺也和lg去看了Ａvatar了。第一次在burbs看imax，发现电影院观众的
demographic果然和城里不同，大部分都是中学生，一帮一帮的。
同意上面几个同学的意见，Ａvatar故事本身很predictable，典型的好莱坞风格－正义
邪恶，大场面轰炸，英雄主义，cross－species的罗曼蒂克，（lg觉得是非常
testosterol inspired情节 ），人物性格塑造比较脸谱化。
不过，我觉得整个电影在视觉真的充满超乎寻常的想象力，色彩华丽，动感冲击，非常
entertaining
另，我觉得那些蓝精灵的身材都好棒呀。
