正在考虑做back patio, side walkway, 和front entryway （门外的）. patio and
entryway 都做成stamped concrete. side walkway regular concrete.
面积 stamped concrete 649 SF, regular broomed concrete 184 SF.
找了两个公司。一个尚未开价，另一个开价为 stamped concrete $10/sf, regular
concrete $7/sf.
另外原有的砖铺patio和entryway都要remove. 合起来最低价只能砍到$7000.
我在美东。这个价钱如何？ |

If you use regular paver, you can do it on loose sand and then broom sand
into the spaces between pavers. Sometime people use cement instead, which
sound to be better but actually worse than sand. As cement will become solid
and when the ground moves, they will break.
If you want to do a brick and mortar patio, then you need to pour a 4"
concrete pad and then lay the brick and mortar on the pad. Otherwise, as
winter comes, the ground will heave and the brick and mortar will crack. Y |

我发现楼主比较担心的杂草就是 crab grass。
Crab grass 和很多宽页草的确是有可以选择性杀死的药。
例如 weed be gone. 但是 Crab grass 真的是很容易处理
的杂草，这个入门级的杂草我都不是很在意。
我真正怕的杂草是 Poa Trivialize, Poa annua, Bermuda，
加州的 broom grass 这些杂草。这些是无药可治的。
我斗了很长时间搞不定才 round up 的。
另外撒 Weed be gone 实在是不好，很伤土，不能杀死
比较厉害的杂草。我以前专门写过。如果你头痛的是 crab
grass, 你的草坪维护肯定有比较多需要改进的地方。
打孔这些是不必要的，我个人不推荐。
还是培养好的土壤，土壤生物群落多了，吸引蚯蚓来松土
这些是正道。你看野外的草坪有谁松土的，不是一样很好。
BTW, 绝大多树高尔夫球场也不打孔的，如果打孔那么有用，
高尔夫球场这些专业种草的地方会第一个用。 |

finish is the cheapest, others are top cast, acid wash, sand blast etc.

2. need gas, electric and water. don't need gas pipe if you pick propane.
need license from city. check with your HOA. natural gas line should be at
least 2 feet underground (if i remember correctly). |

的尺数算,大概他说平均 $6.5的样子,因为是pool company,我要做pool,所以就想在房
子周围做一圈walkway.
另外既然都要做地的话就想把outdoor kitchen做了,因为他提到了电和气.如果要有
sink,是需要单独的permit,光permit申请就要多1千多,所以他们不建议做water,因为
BBQ 就里厨房也很进.但是如果按你说的用propane的话,那实际这个outdoor kitchen就
可以以后做了,对吗?因为用的炉子不设计到要gas的问题呀? 所有要用的都是在ground
上呀.

请,我们这里pool用natural gas加热,各地情况可能不一样.sink要接到房内的话的确很
麻烦,如果不洗油腻的脏东西,只是洗洗手,接到yard drainage就好,可能违反code,问问
当地朋友吧. propane要换气罐,natural gas省事,好象还贵点, 看你自己了. 走电线也
要挖深沟. $6.5应该是broom finish,我们这里不算便宜,你这个工程大,价格可以多讲
一点.

the carpet. so if you replace carpet make sure yourself vacuum it. buy a
shop-vac do it. i did it by using my dyson dc28, 心痛啊，被旧地毯的staple把
吸尘器下面划了，不过不影响功能。装地毯的只是broom clean，新地毯一该，你看不
见。其实地板下也很脏，只是没人换地板所以看不见。 |

broom stick, turn it around, jam it into the disposal , and try to push it
hard in both directions, then retry the disposal with water turned on.

拿来做扫帚，因为长得有点倒三角，很容易倒伏的，需要常修剪。
你可以试试用三根stake把它扶住， 等两年看看会不会长好。 |

何应对。
我们租的是一个两室的condo，1250美元，搬进去的时候，基本是broom-cleaned，整体
还可以，不过墙上有些小的划痕，air filter和冰箱 filter都是过期的，窗户没有
blind。我们帮助换了filter 装了blind。 我们搬出来的时候，打扫的很仔细，整体比
搬进去要干净得多。一些小问题房东检查时很诚恳的指给他了：地毯上有很小一块咖啡
渍 (2cmx2cm)，墙上有些钉子孔（已经填平）。air filter换的新的,坏掉的灯泡也都
换上了。
房东（一个看起来很老实的越南人）在最后一天还钥匙的时候，检查了一遍，说都非常
好，没什么问题，有问题会和我们商量。结果等了一个半月，1250刀的押金只还了550
刀。房东把墙重刷了，专业清洗了地毯，还请了其他专业清洗，所有费用用我们押金出
的，完全没有通知我们。我们觉得这完全不合理，现在给他打电话，他拒接，发过一封
信说他的克扣很不合理，要他退还全部押金，也没有回音。
